Comfortable home
During our time in Italy, we stayed in four locations and this was our favorite. It is such a comfortable home, with thoughtful attention to detail. The location is beautiful, nestled in olive groves and overlooking mountain vineyards. The hosts were kind and attentive. You do need a car to get around as it is outside the city, which was the only drawback. However, the property made that worth the effort. We would absolutely recommend this property!

Tranquil stay in beautiful rural location
We had a wonderful stay here! The property has everything you need including a lovely bright and open kitchen, and a great outdoor patio and seating place to enjoy the views. This place is isolated in its setting but not in location and is close to big supermarkets and bigger towns for day trips. We had a restful stay and were well looked after by Francesco - Grazie Mille!

A very comfortable house in delightful countryside, within a short instance of Verona. It was surrounded by olive groves and vineyards and so peaceful. Francesco was the perfect, helpful host.

Peaceful Veneto stay with beautiful views
Loved waking up to stunning views every day, watching the sun rise and set, the fog roll in and out below and hearing the church bells chime the hour. Francesco has set this place up beautifully. The location is totally private but is only 10 minutes from the nearest supermarket and 20 mins from Verona. Beautiful country lanes to approach the house, close to a walking trail. Our winter stay was extremely comfortable and warm. Wish we got a chance to light the fire. Would love to return.

Most Beautiful property outside Verona
This is truly a magnificent property, Francesco and his daughter Ana met us on our arrival with a beautiful gift basket full of delicious goodies including his own homemade olive oil!, which by the way we purchased an additional 2 liters because it was exceptional. The house was very clean and neat and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. the setting of the house on a hillside was so beautiful we sat outside every evening and enjoyed the view while enjoying our wine and cheese and salami. The bed was cozy and comfortable we left the windows open to let in the the clean fresh air and we could hear the church bells ring from across the valley. If your looking for a quiet and charming Italian retreat just minutes from the Beautiful city of Verona this is the only place I would stay. We will definitely be coming back here on our next trip to this most Beautiful property near Verona. Ciao

Rural paradise
There are many 5 star reviews for this property and host, and every one is true to the actual experience. The location is idyllic and the web photos just cannot do it justice. The most peaceful location "shattered" only by the church bells in the valley softly chiming the hours away. Perfect!! The property itself is extremely well equipped with quality furnishings and really doesn't want for anything. The view from the bedroom balcony is stunning, as are all locations around the house. The host Francesco and his beautiful daughter Anna met us about 6km from the house just off the motorway exit, even though it was 10.30 at night, and escorted us the final stage. It was a nice touch and very much appreciated. Francesco is the host you dream of, and helped with so much information and assistance. You leave more as a friend than a guest and we look forward to returning.

Excellent communication with Francesco prior to our arriva, and kind enough to allow an early check in. Found the property no problem with satnav but you need to be prepared for some hairpin bends up the hill. The property was gorgeous, and as listed. We were welcomed by Franceso and he brought gifts of wine, his own olive oil and some essentials. The place is idyllic, well equipped, quiet, and was just perfect for our week break. We visited Verona, Venice and Lake Garda from the house. We ate in on all evenings as it was too nice not to use. There is a Super Rossetto (large supermarket) 10 mins drive from the property. Thank you Francesco

Little peace of heaven!
My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Giovanni was a very welcoming host, providing us with useful information on the local area. The property lived up to its expectations and more; a real home from home feeling, extremely clean and tidy, could not fault it at all. A nice touch on arrival was a basket of goodies including Francesco's own olive oil from the farm. The views were outstanding.

Lovely
What a great spot to sit and enjoy your surroundings. The house is remote, sits up on a hill overlooking a small town below. Waking up to that view is priceless. Have a cup of coffee off the bedroom while enjoying the view, sitting in front of the fireplace to read a book, cooking one of the meals using groceries Francesco provided for you or go for a walk on the property. Any of these things can be done here, rain or shine. We also loved the tourist attractions in City Center and enjoyed exploring. Francesco was very kind and welcoming, gave us a wonderful bottle of his Olive Oil and gave us a map and directions on how to get what we needed. Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy your home.

Beautiful & Quiet with gorgeous view
This is a beautifully renovated barn. It is very romantic. Sparkling and up to date. If you are lucky enough to be there when it’s cold enough for a fire make one for sure! Be aware it can be hard to find the first time as Google maps gets confused by the small roads. Francesco is an excellent host. We will definitely stay again.

We loved our time here. The house is beautiful and situated in the most spectacular valley. The quiet area in the hills made it a great place for us to unwind with our young son. Wonderful house and host!
My wife and I just spent five nights at Caranatura and loved everything about it. The location in the quiet countryside outside of Verona made for peaceful evenings on the patio and a good night's sleep. The air conditioning was welcome during the recent heatwave. The bathroom is modern and clean, with plenty of hot water. We were able to do some laundry, too. Francesco is a great host. He met us at the appointed time and gave us a sample of the local wine and his own olive oil. He is available at all times for any questions or problems you may have. When we left we felt like we had made a new friend. I would highly recommend Caranatura to anyone wanting to explore the area around Verona. Thanks for everything, Francesco! Jack and Gina

Wonderful country house close to Verona
My family of five (one teenager and three small kids) stayed at Caranatura for a few days last February. It was our favorite stay during the entire trip. The house was well-provisioned, cozy and cheerful. Francesco (the owner) had thought of many details to make our stay comfortable and was extremely gracious to welcome us personally and bid us farewell. The house is not far from Verona which makes it a convenient base for exploring the area, but it was nestled on a hillside in the country surrounded by an olive grove. The kids especially enjoyed having a horse in the backyard. Highly recommended!

Truly a gem in many ways, and the best VRBO offering that we have stayed at in our many travels
Caranatura is beautiful, idyllic, and so well appointed that this wonderful VRBO is now our favorite place to stay out of the many that we have stayed at. The views from the porches and sitting areas are magical, and the quiet of the hillside is broken only by the church bells ringing in the valley below. Francesco has created a haven for city worn travelers, and yet the beautiful city of Verona is only 15 minutes away. The farm is very convenient to travel in any direction. Francesco took time out to suggest some places to visit, and I am so glad that we did. It's an easy drive to Lake Garda and all the sites and small towns that the lake has to offer. Going the other way, Soave with all the wineries is just another little drive away. We did go north into the hills and farm land but we never quite made it to the Dolomites. Next time for sure! We discovered so many nooks and crannies that we can't wait to return and check them all out. The kitchen is wonderful to walk into in the morning--from the bright sunlight, to the views, to how well appointed it is (Loved the espresso machine and quality pots and pans). Coffee in the morning on that beautiful veranda was my favorite. (Breakfast on the veranda was my husband's favorite!) The bathroom is light, spacious and modern. (I want the shower in our house at home!) The upstairs bedroom is immense and the bed very soft and comfortable. Francesco has managed to mold both the old with the new and lose nothing in between. This house really does have everything anyone could ask for. What made our stay of a week so memorable is also the time that Francesco took to answer our many, many questions about the farm, the pheasants, life in Italy, what to see, and what to enjoy. We had a great time comparing countries and ideas, farming thoughts and views of the future. Thank you Francesco for being so patient with us and all those questions... Truly, driving down the lane and walking into Caranatura is like walking into one's own home. The entire experience from meeting Francesco at the train to saying goodbye to Francesco at the train station was one positive experience after another. Thank you Francesco for sharing your hard work, your dream, your beautiful home called Caranatura with us. We will be back. Until then--Caio Charlie and Gary Anderson Olympia, Wa. USA

Nice, relaxing, beautiful view
We had a wonderfull stay. We had a warm welcome by Francesco. He took the time to show us the house and suggested a good pizza restaurant in Verone. The kitchen is well equiped, clean bathroom, the beds are confortables including the sofa bed. A basquet with pasta, cookies and crackers is also nicely presented. It was easy to find the location. It takes 30 minutes to reach Verone. Francesco provide a city map with the main attractions. Francesco even took the time to guide us to the nearest grocery.
