Booked a 2-double bed suite with kitchenette through Expedia. Upon arrival was told by front desk hotel was mistakenly overbooked and that we would have to move rooms after our first night and stay in a different room for our other booked two nights. We asked if they had a different room type so we wouldn’t have to move and they were very accommodating. Unfortunately we ended up in a room that had a door leading into the room next to it (when families request adjoining rooms). You can hear “everything” going on in the room next to us…as if they were right in the same room with us. This made It difficult to sleep. The shower/tub combo in our room was a bit inconvenient as you had to literally step over a wall 2 feet high by 1 foot thick. Tough situation for the elderly or anyone w/ back issues. Room was clean but a bit dated. King bed was a bit stiff but not too bad. View was great from the basic beach front balcony. The parking garage is very tight for a large truck/SUV. They have parking spaces “way” too close to the floor level turns. The staff, particularly the front desk, were very nice, welcoming and professional. Hotel is on the south end of boardwalk, less crowded but plenty of shopping & dining options very close by. Sunnyside restaurant right across from hotel was our breakfast go to each morning while Waterman’s (right next to hotel) Mahi’s and Chix were all great nearby seafood options. The property is old and dated. The floors and carpeting are brown with dirt. The vents in the rooms are coated in dust.

Amazing service, the people are very helpful! It is easy to ask for anything to be deliver to the room (towels or anything it could miss during the journey) as we can just text the reception! The place is very clean and well equipped.

Nice location and friendly front desk staff. The A/C makes a lot of noise, it takes a long time to cook anything in the electric range and the mattress was squeaky. Going up or down the parking garage to park the car is very difficult.

We originally prepaid for a different hotel that had a separate bedroom, pull out sofa, and a kitchenette. On the drive to VA Beach, like 1 hr before check-in, Expedia called and said they had to cancel our hotel because THEY overbooked us and they put us in Beach Quarters. We were put in a room that was tiny, it only had 1 bed, and the bathtub/shower is literally IN the bedroom. We called Expedia back and their customer service was THE WORST. They were not willing to make it right. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told she wasn’t available and wouldn’t be in until the next day, which I knew was a lie. A couple hrs later, someone who said they were a supervisor called and gave us a credit, which did not total the first night’s stay. My takeaway from this, DO NOT book with Expedia. Go directly to the hotel and airline to make your reservations

Pros: - Staff was friendly and helpful - Room was clean - Proximity was great - Beds were comfortable Cons: - Painfully outdated rooms with layouts that make no sense - Rooftop bar/grill was non-existent - Very thin walls, our neighbors were insanely loud. Not hotels fault, just luck of draw, but still very unpleasant - Extremely overpriced, you simply pay for location, plenty of other options for less with much higher quality and still in a good location
