The ac was really loud and was dripping on the floor. Balcony door was hard to close. The mattresses were hard on the beds. The hallway on the second floor was hot. The rooms were outdated and need to be revamped.

This is an amazing hotel for kids (3 pools including inside pool) and direct beach access and boardwalk. 7 eleven right across street was convenient. Restaurants within walking distance if you don’t want to drive. Area was quiet as well. The elevators are very slow and small, rooms very outdated and rusty and need some major updates. Balcony was okay, that was rusty too. Staff were pleasant. And the restaurants on site were great minus isle of capri, apparently you need reservations to go there and they turned me and my son away, even thou it was empty and you could hear crickets. But it’s okay because we found an amazing italian restaurant who took us with open arms and it was amazing. It was called Manninos. I would stay here again. They also have movie room for kids. Again definitely a great hotel for kids. They also have a bar near pool as well which was great.

We absolutely LOVED OUR STAY in our suite on the 3rd floor and for sure will be returning Next Year. This was a family vacation, Me, My Husband, our 14 yr old, 12 yr old and 3 yr old, they had a Great time and said they felt like was at a mini resort ") I actually am surprised people gave bad reviews or complained about fruitless things! Now if you do not have kids then i can say this might not be the stay for you, but if you do then this place is very accommodating for the kids and us adults! Fun games, great music, short walk to beach, 3 pools and a 7/11 right across the street with a trolly pickup right in front to take you down to the shops. No problem with parking what so ever and everyoneeeee was friendly! I still cant believe ppl actually gave bad reviews, im so glad i didnt fall for them this time! Yes elevator shuts fast but its not like this small old creepy one ppl were portraying, and i like to move fast so no complaints here. Now if they were shutting slow im sure ppl would complain about that too lol!

Balcony doors barely closed when outside (these doors have been like this for at least 6 years). Room not ready by 4pm check in. Barely enought parking. Saw several vehicles in parking lot without parking tags displayed. I brought this to attention of front desk manager and she indicated those vehicles probably belonged to employees. However, after speaking to a couple other hotel employees, they indicated employees are not allowed to park in the parking deck.

The pools were filthy - so cloudy. The signs next to each pool showing when they were cleaned and chlorine tested was June - - our visit was in August. Every staff member we encountered was outstanding!

Loved the Dove products on the bathroom, all staff were so helpful and responsive. The property is old and a little janky but other than that everything was great. Kids loved the pools

Sauna out of order. Pool water a little cold even though hot outside. Balcony sliding door was very hard to open/close. A few homeless people at North end of boardwalk right outside hotel.

Holiday inn suites, north in Virginia Beach
Very small elevators only could fit a few people into each elevator at a time. We stayed in room 6 to 7 and the balcony door would not close and was very hard to open. People on room 628 or smoking on the balcony when smoking is not allowed. Excellent service during breakfast and excellent service when requesting clean towels. The beach was not overcrowded and enjoyable. This is our second year staying at the same hotel in Virginia Beach. Despite the evolutions we have, we will return next year.
