Good but needs better cleaning in rooms
The hotel property is nice, tucked in the back of a parking lot but conveniently located. Our first room had many issues (the door wouldn’t open and close properly, the floors stayed wet from humidity, it smelled musty, there was a big hole in the carpet, and the tv was broken. They moved us and we did not have those same issues in the new room, however the doors and walls were dirty. Overall the hotel seemed in good condition, breakfast options were good too but they need to clean the rooms better. And the room 212 shouldn’t be occupied till it is repaired. We absolutely loved Waco.

It is clean. I love the ability to check out BBQ supplies and board games at the front desk. The pool is tiny and next to a busy highway, so it's loud and not relaxing. The rooms are perfect for an extended stay with a good sized kitchen, large fridge, dishwasher and a full size dinner table. The tubs need to be regrouted. TV is oddly placed on a side wall and I kept smacking myself on it as I entered the room. Customer service was hit or miss. The evening person was terrible but the morning people were delightful.

Checkin was easy and friendly front desk clerk. Hotel was clean. Beds were comfortable. On day two of our stay the people right next door had brought their dog and left their dog the whole day in their room and their dog barked none stop all day long. I spoke with the front desk about the barking dog and was told that the people paid their money for their dog and they couldn’t do anything about it. I then called Marriott’s customer service and she talked to the hotel manager and he told her the same thing that he couldn’t do anything about the dog. After speaking to someone higher up with Marriott, I was told that the pet policy clearly states that “you are never to leave your pet unattended for any reason” but Manager still refused to do anything about the barking dog. We finally had to leave our room and go somewhere to get away from the dog. I kept being told they paid their money for the dog but yet when I told them I paid my money they didn’t care. I will never stay at another Marriott again. Hilton is where we usually stay Also the breakfast wasn’t that great and what little that they did have out was gone as quick as they put it out because they would only put enough out for a couple of people at a time. No milk for the kids cereal. Had to apparently go get the milk from the store.
