The hotel was clean and the staff friendly, but the room had an awful musty order. It was nauseating and even with me using an air spray, the order was overwhelming. I passed an HVAC in the lobby and I hope it was a new one to replace whatever they have in the building currently. Probably need to clean out the vents as well.

There was trash from the weekend before that was still sitting there in the sitting area. Also I didn’t like that housekeeping came into our room at 9’am; 10 and 11. when check out was at 12.

This Marriott Hotel need some work
Checkin was easy but that was about the only thing we liked about this hotel. Things that went wrong. 1. Lack of cleanliness - crumbs under the side of the bed in the master bedroom. Coffee lid in the kitchen floor. Some unidentified item in the bathroom cubby. 2. Master Bedroom TV kept turning off and on 3. The master bedroom was not leveled so the night drawers kept opening. I had to put my luggage in front of it to prevent it. 4. Vent closet was damaged 5. Pillows were extremely flat I’ve stayed in many Marriott Bonvoy Hotels in the past few years and had great experiences. This is the first time brand let me down. This hotel needs some TLC.
The foundation of that particular room was not leveled. The drawers kept opening so I had to put my luggage in front of it.

Travelocity website states check in is at 3:00. We got to the hotel a little after 3:00 and were told they were over booked and may not have the 2 bedroom suite available and if it is available we couldn’t get in before 4:00 because housekeeping was working on all the rooms. . I asked to speak to a manager who was not pleasant and had an attitude. She didn’t seem to care at all that we had an event to get to and that we had to get checked in so we could drop our stuff off and leave. I understand she was stressed out but she needs to handle the interactions with guests a little better. Wound up getting in our room just before 4:00. Hotel was decent enough except for the two six inch pieces of hair on the shower wall.

Home away from Home
We got the suite that sleeps 3, we ended up coming here because we live out of town and my brother needed assistance for our mother's funeral arrangements. This hotel is located 20-30 minutes to central Washington DC (barring traffic), the staff is fantastic and the rooms are spacious. I actually liked this room more than the one we had at Disney when we stayed on property. The bathrooms are spacious and the living room has a pullout couch. There is plenty of drawer space, a full sized fridge and a microwave. I actually like that's it's in the government/business district because it's quiet and traffic noises aren't an issue. There are plenty of local restaurants nearby (and if you want, there's Grubhub, UberEats....etc.). The breakfast was well maintained and they have some of the best bacon! (eating is my happy place) Even though I'm still going through a lot emotionally dealing with my moms passing, this hotel made me at least have a place I could come to and not be stressed, I'll be staying here again and I really appreciate the top notch service. I would have taken pictures but I really wasn't in the right place mentally to remember to do that.
