It the stay was alright.kids bed wasnt comfy.it looked like a sofa connected with some extension.I reserved breakfast as well.breakfast buffet wasnt that great,with no veg choices.I was expecting having veg options as normal in every menu so i didnt specially ask them but i was really disappointed with the choices and options available in the buffet

lovely hotel, spa is lovely, staff are friendly and extremely helpful. only 20 mins from Cheshire zoo and Cheshire oaks, extreamly pleasant place to stay. Will be definitely coming back.

I like this hotel & stayed before. It's not cheat, at >£150 per night on a room only basis but the beds are very comfy & the food is good. However, this time, my room was above the bin area & I was woken up in the early hours of the morning (3 or 4am?) by the noise & flashing lights of the collection waggon (even with the curtains closed). I did complain to reception and they just repeated 'sorry'. For >£150 per night for a bed, I'd have expected more than 'sorry'.

Hotel looked lovely on arrival. Reception staff member was welcoming and helpful. We had chosen a superior family room, which had a double bed, a single bed, and a sofa. The room was more than spacious enough for myself, my daughter and grandson, plus 2 small dogs. Unfortunately, the standard of cleaning in general in the room was only just passable. There was a layer of dust on top of the tv, and the glass table was smeared and marked. The mattress of the single bed was noticeably bigger than the divan base. Whilst this didn’t affect the comfort of the mattress itself, the front of the divan base was very obviously completely filthy. The entire length of the base was visible as there was nothing covering it (like a valance). As we were told at check-in that we had the only room of its type, we had to make the best of it for our one night stay. The state of the bed base was so obvious that it could not have gone unseen by staff. This failure to deal with a very obvious issue meant that we were doubtful about the standard of cleaning in general. Service at the bar was good the first time, but our later request for ice seemed to be a problem. Thankfully another staff member intervened and a glass of ice for our room suddenly became available after all. When we checked out in the morning, we advised reception of our issues with the cleanliness of our room. We received an apology and told that our comments would be passed on. All in all, a disappointing experience.

Lovely hotel. Some areas starting to look a bit dated and in need of a refurb but clean and pleasant. We were just using it sleep after a local party so didn’t eat or use any of the spa facilities.

Very noisy room resulting in a terrible sleep
I have stayed at the Park Royal before and had a great stay, this time however i stayed in a room that ran along side the staircase and was woken up at least 10 times throughout the night as it sounded like someone was banging on my bedroom wall, i was advised there was nothing the hotel could do about it but it resulted in a terrible sleep.
