This spacious, partially thatched farmhouse is located directly on the Princess Margriet Canal on a spacious plot of 10740 m² and has its own small harbor. There is a plot of pasture and the piece of land is largely a nature reserve. The natural house, dating from around 1926, has been largely renovated and is located at the end of a no through road. The private driveway of 700 meters takes you to an oasis of peace, privacy and nature and fishing experience. There is a small marina, a natural pond on its own land suitable for children and various terraces around the house. The kitchen with cooking island is the core of the house. The kitchen is equipped with a large Boretti cooking unit with double oven and five cooking rings. The living room has doors to the south-facing terrace with a view of the large pond. Three of the five bedrooms and the separate bathroom are on the ground floor. Two spacious bedrooms are on the first floor and use the bathroom downstairs. One of the three bedrooms downstairs (master bedroom) has its own bathroom. In total there are therefore ten single beds, divided over five bedrooms, all convertible into double beds with Velcro fastening at the bottom.
The farmhouse is located in Warten, a village in the municipality of Leeuwarden and is located on the Prinses Margrietkanaal near a busy four-mile jump of water (Frisian: the Krúswetters). Across the canal is the nature and water sports area National Park De Alde Feanen. Accessible from, among others, Marina Wartena with the solar and bicycle ferry 'De Oerhaal', or directly from the plot with a boat.
