An incredible place that needs more staff
We had an incredible time at this CitizenM hotel. The room had all the necessary amenities, the hotel was beautifully kept and very clean, and there were a ton of spaces to work from. Ultimately, the hotel needs more staff; they were doing the best they could but they were running from place to place to keep up with customer demand.

Visually unique place to stay. Miniature rooms literally as wide as a kind bed is long. Bathroom has passive fan so room can easily become, stinky. Perfect for two who plan to spend every waking moment exploring the city. Nice controls in the room, clean. Would stay again.

Walking distance to the Mall a plus. But have never stayed in such a small room. The length of the bed waa the width if the room. A second person would have to crawl over the first to get in and out of bed - ridiculous. No front desk - just computer stations for checking in and out (although a staff person was generally around to help). Room entirely controlled by an ipad - to turn on lights, the TV, window covering and temperature...a hassle. Lastly the coffee in the breakfast area was undrinkable. Walked 2 blocks to Starbucks out of desperation. Breakfast buffet otherwise OK but overpriced. Staff helped with ordering taxi's which was appreciated. Will happily pay more next time for a normal room with bed access and better seating.

Walkable to many attractions - the Washington Mall, Lincoln Memorial, National Gallery of Art, several Smithsonian museums. The restaurant on premises is also very convenient.

Rooftop bar was our favorite part. Kris is an excellent bartender. Staff throughout our stay was friendly and helpful. Hubs thought bed was great, I thought it was hard. Great place to stay and we were able to walk to all the sights on our wish list.

Property has a simple design that’s easy to navigate and decor that will make you smile! The staff was always welcoming and security was top notch! The room was fresh and clean with iPad control for everything, so easy to adjust for the perfect stay!

Overpriced. Employee ms are overwhelmed by their endless responsibilities. The fridge didn't, only cold water in the sink, those beds jammed against the window are stupid. Went to the rooftop bar and ordered a dirty martini. It was teeny and was probably a Keurig cocktail mix. Ventilation was stuffy. I could go on and on.

My stay at citizenM was amazing. It is centrally located among all the main sites of Washington DC. There is no parking on-site, but there is parking very close by. I did not drive there but mainly took Ubers if I needed to get more than a few miles out. As you enter the revolving door, a friendly face will always help you if you can't manage the self-check on your own. Your key card gets you to your room via the elevator and opens your room. There are cheeky signs to make you feel more comfortable and like you are entering a chic boutique hotel. It is all the rage. I love the high-tech room with iPad control for lighting, curtain and blinds functions, and even mood and sound ambiance that made me feel at ease. The room was clean and very well put together. Breakfast may be included in your room cost, or you can add it daily to your tab or use your card as needed. I only bought it one morning, and it was pretty good, but I never understood why we had to have fake eggs with all the other wonderful options that were freshly baked and available that morning; that's always disappointing when you love everything else about a place, but the rest of the selections were delectable. The morning barista seemed overwhelmed on her own at 6:30 am, but quite a few guests were awaiting their custom coffee orders, to be fair. I did not venture to the Sushi Bar upstairs or use other amenities. I really enjoyed my two-night stay.

Love every CitizenM we’ve ever stayed in, and this was no exception. Private and public spaces are all fun, comfy, and highly functional, and the staff is great. We especially appreciated that there were always electric scooters out front and ready to go, and being around the corner from Casey’s (opposite NASA) for a great breakfast to go. Only improvement we’d recommend is in the CitizenM restaurant. Ordering food was confusing and inconvenient. Everything else about our stay was superb!
