Although this hotel is close to Georgetown shopping and the National Cathedral, it is an older property that is uncomfortable. The hallways smelled like cat urine. The bed was very firm and the curtains were not blackout. Shower head was weak and trying to find a comfortable temperature with the water was nearly impossible. The power strip for the coffee maker was not working so we had to move it. There was an area in the room with a sink and cabinet for extended stay but no table to eat at. There was not one but 2 mini fridges in the room as well. The staff were very friendly which made up for some of the stay. Also the attached restaurant was nice, but it’s not a part of the hotel so you cannot charge anything to the room.

Thought it was a three star vs four star hotel. I booked it primarily for the location. Didn't like that they made me park in the garage when I had a perfectly good spot in the front of the hotel and others were allowed to keep their cars there. Water pressure in the shower was almost non-existent and I was chilled taking a short shower. Shower floor was also very slippery and would be a hazard for some. Nothing special about this hotel.

The property was fine. We were in an accessible room, which we didnt request or need to be in. The property was fine. However, we were given an accessible room which we did not request, and did not need. This made for a couple of inconveniences in the bathroom particularly. Restaurant; food was ok but too expensive. Would have preferred having some a la carte options. Coffee was not always hot in the morning. Service was good

It’s very dated and my room had an unpleasant odor. They don’t clean rooms daily. They tell you to come down for breakfast in the morning without explaining it’s not included.

We enjoy this hotel, very clean and comfortable, access to the restaurant, and good location. The cleaning people were very nice. Reasonably priced. Our room was very quiet and large.

Stayed for a week in October on vacation with my partner. We got a room with a kitchenette, which mostly worked well for us, but was lacking some things I'd expect (like a microwave and any place to sit and eat other than the desk and bed). Sound insulation was nonexistent - multiple nights we were woken or kept up by LOUD conversations in the room next door and/or hallway at all hours; a call to the front desk did help the night that we were woken by obscenities at 3 a.m., but we could still hear way too much from our neighbors even when they weren't yelling. Location is OK, near the Naval Observatory, a few bus routes (but not a Metro line), several grocery stores, and some nice walking trails behind Embassy Row. D.C. is expensive in general, but I was disappointed with the value-for-money here given the subpar room as described above.
