Spacious but worn out
This hotel was an old DoubleTree and it has seen better days. It is obvious the new ownership has not invested in remodeling, but just "touched up" what was necessary to keep it going. (Wallpaper has been patched with another section over the top to cover gouges or scrapes, sagging counters in bathroom, etc.) When we arrived for check-in at 9pm, it was in the middle of a heat wave and the hotel air conditioning had gone out! The fans they had available were all in use, so we were out of luck. They did not offer any discount, but said we could go elsewhere if we chose. That wasn't really an option for us that night, so we went to Walmart, bought our own fans and spray bottles, and made it through the miserable night. Thankfully, the AC was fixed the next day and they did take off the $30parking fee for the first night...when we asked. On the plus side, there was plenty of space in the suite including a very large walk-in closet and the rooms were serviced daily. We were able to walk to a variety of local restaurants (the hotel breakfast was $18 per person), and the metro station was just down the street.

Agree booking reservation and arriving to location we are told the hotel was sold out and was not properly accommodated. The staff was very unprofessional and did not provide acceptable customer service to multiple patrons.

Upon checkin the staff did not tell us that air was out in building. Once enetering the room there was a musty moldy smell and no air what so ever. They explained it was being worked on so i tried to make it work and purchased fans. After no air, the fire announcement came on in the middle of the night and there was indeed no fire. I immediately packed my stuff and left. I had enough. Never experienced anything like this anywhere. There were customer there for days fussing about the air not working. Do not book with them unless you want to burn up.
