Good value for the money in DC with public transportation close by. Although I did not utilize, parking fee ($65) seems high in comparison to other locations I have stayed. It would be nice and convenient to have a microwave in the room. Clearer instructions on the thermostat would be helpful, I was not sure if settings were on F or C and it was not intuitive to change

I called the morning of my check in to let them know I would be checking in late that day. When we arrived we waited 20 minutes and they did not have the room I reserved and paid for. My son and I were placed in rooms next to each other. 1 room smelt as if someone was smoking in there. The cover sheet on my bed had stains on them. Our rooms were not cleaned.

The property is nice and the staff was friendly. However their computer was running slowly and it took several minutes for us to be checked in. They didn't have a double queen handicap accessible room so they gave us another room. When we left the hotel for a few hours the next day our keys didn’t work. They said that the computer had us as a no show and checked out. We had to wait at least 15 minutes for them to straighten it out. At check out I was charged $8 upgrade.No allowances were made for our inconvenience.

Staff @ check-in were nice, i showed them a picture of a leak on the ceiling above the toilet and they called in a staff to look at it. Unfortunately the gentleman that came and fix just started moving things (our personal belongings) out. I asked him if i needed to move things, he said no, but started moving them when he realized that whatever he’s removing from the ceiling is coming down to my stuff. After he pulled the paint off, he said he’s coming back. He did this time with materials to fix the ceiling paint, had a plastic to cover the area below it, had some spill / trash left and said he will come back to clean it up but he never did. I told the front desk about this incident when we checked out the next day, showed them the picture before the ceiling was fixed, front desk personnel had me forward them the picture to forward to their staff, he was also apologetic of the incidence. Breakfast is okay. The address when you book is not where you can drop off your stuff. The entrance and drop off is at the back of the hotel. Also they advertise parking is available, sure is but it’s $65 overnight valet parking!!!

Hotel convenient to Metro and local facilities, BUT building problems need addressing. Stayed there for 4 days in July. In the first room assigned the AC didn't work and the toilet didn't flush properly. In the second room assigned the AC still didn't work. No answer when calling about this, went to front desk and found multiple other guests complaining about same. Hotel had a maintenance tech go room to room that night fixing the problems. Hotel stated housekeeping service was every other day. By afternoon after 2nd night still no housekeeping, had to get towels and coffee from front desk and requested service for next day. Same after 3rd night. Only got housekeeping because we returned early enough in the afternoon that staff were still there and we complained at the front desk in front of many people checking in. Unacceptable for a Hyatt property. Breakfast buffet is adequate, but there is not enough seating for busy times. Hallway rugs have not been cleaned properly lately. There are other hotels in the vicinity of the NoMa Metro, stay in one of those.

The rooms were average . But air went out for Friday night of July 26th and the hotel night clerk at that time did not offer any assistance. Elevator was out as well & clerk would not even say a word to any of us with an explanation which was extremely rude.
