In bad need of paint in the exterior. Room very small , no hangers to hang clothes. Entrance very dirty. Will not stay there again.

Stairwell was very narrow and steep. Not conducive for carrying luggage up. A bait mouse trap sitting in the room does not make you feel very comfortable. Electric fireplace had been worked on and was not even assembled back together before we had the room. Assembled and an out of order sign would have appeared much better.

Beautiful setting. Just average room.
The staff are lovely, and the waterton of course is stunning. But our room was not the cleanest. You could see the dust and spiderwebs aroundbthe fans and the corners of the room. Our bed seemed old, and the two leather chairs in the room should be thrown out. They have zero support. Lightbulbs were out.

Loved our stay. We appreciated the overhead fan to help air out the place during the day. Check-in across the street was fast and easy. Easy walking to lots of restaurants. Had a bizarre experience with the staff giving a key to someone just checking in, fortunately we were in the room at the time so they quickly realized their mistake - lesson learned to keep the deadbolt on! Other than that it was enjoyable and we have lots of good memories.

Very old building with narrow stairs. I asked for ground floor but didn't get it. Very comfortable bed and pillows, but the room was rather small and cramped. No clothes hangers in the closet. The outside deck was old and in need of painting. Overpriced for what you get.

I absolutely loved my staff at the Crandell Mountain Lodge! It was so cute and cozy! When I checked into the room there was a cute tray with a biscuit and tea, really nice touch! 10/10 will be back if I am ever in Waterton!

The property was not what we saw in the brochure, the room had 2 bedrooms but the bathroom was in one of the bedrooms so we had to disturb the ones sleeping in that bedroom when we needed to go, their was no tv, towels were set out for 2 guest and we were 3, the room was very run down, could not light the fireplace, had a kitchen and dishes but no towels to do dishes. Very dissatisfied, would never stay there again and would never recommend it to anyone

We always stay at Crandall Mountain Lodge when we go to Waterton. We were surprised to find the rooms were recently renovated. This lodge is really a period piece in many ways which we appreciate. We often go with friends and gather on the large communal deck to share a drink or dinner. Check in has moved from on site to across the road to their new sister property, but they still provide homemade cookies! The largest reasonably priced for Waterton Park.

If you are large or overweight, you will have a real problem with the very small bathroom. My husband and I were OK, but there is very little room to stand in front of the sink and you walk past that to get to the shower. I am 5 feet six inches and normal weight and had very little room to bend over to brush my teeth. There is also little room to walk around the bed in the room with a queen bed. But again, for someone my size it was fine. Otherwise, the place is cute, clean, and comfortable. It’s at the edge of town so quiet and a five minute walk from everything. We enjoyed our stay. And they give you home made shortbread cookies- they were yummy!

good location (all hotels in WL are close to everything), it was clean, retro style (okay), felt safe (of course everyone has to check into the park), it felt like the owner/manager was planning to make the property nice (paint etc.) next year (but, the internet says, the o/m has been planning to make the property nice for YEARS

The location was great and the room was quaint with a very comfortable king size bed. I thought the tea & cookies were a very welcoming touch. What I didn’t like was the office was closed and we had to check in across the road. The deck was very old and needing repairs and we were greeted by a mouse trap when we stepped into the hallway. No TV or AC, which I guess I missed in the details but would never had booked.

Realizing the hotel is old but amenities like AC is a must when the temps are above 35 degrees!!! Makes for a very unpleasant sleep and stay!
