Newly build cabin on the lake shore of lake Sakatah. Bordering the Sakatah state trail & natural state park that has 800 aches for your adventure. The cabins have a queen size bed & a futon. It also has a dishwasher, central air covered patio & decks, fully equipped kitchen, fire pit, 25 steps down to the dock , dock spaces are included.
NB: No bath towels are provided. Cabin name is the Coo Coos nest.

We very much enjoyed this cabin on the lake. The cabin itself was really nice and well maintained. Full kitchen, beautiful view out the back door. There is a trail with easy access to get on from the house. The whole weekend was wonderful and relaxing.

Cuckoo about Coo Coo's Nest
This is a small, charming cabin of recent construction. The interior is rustic in a sophisticated manner, if that makes sense. The lakefront view is terrific, and the kitchen is great. There are charcoal and gas grills available for use, with appropriate utensils. Once I got the Wi-Fi password, the internet connectivity was excellent. (I would recommend finding out the password ahead of time, which I neglected to do.) The property manager came to welcome us and give us entry information. The small town of Waterville (population about 1,500) is surprisingly cosmopolitan: although the only restaurant serves Mexican cuisine, it was first-rate Mexican food, rivalling anything I've had in much larger cities; and the local grocery store is well stocked, and offers locally made bacon, bratwurst and other meats that we found delicious. Be sure you have a streaming account with a TV provider -- Hulu or the like; we don't. All-in-all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this cabin. We enjoyed the view over looking the lake, campfires at night, and kayaking during the day. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. The cabin was cozy and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Hoping to go back next summer.

Nature at its best
This quaint, cozy, country cabin was more perfect than I could imagine; my duck hunting husband would have loved it, too. My niece (a nature photographer) and I spent our mornings glassing all the birds (egrets, ducks, heron, pelicans and more) on the water while hummingbirds, robins, and others fluttered nearby. The nearby trail was easy access, as was a coffee house, downtown of Waterville and grocery. Daryl was a delightful, kind host who checked on our every need. I hope an opportunity arises for me to return to his rental. Don’t forget your binoculars for this lovely, surprisingly quiet location.

Quick weekend getaway
Quick getaway weekend for my husbands 60th birthday was so relaxing! Darrell described the property to a tea! He communicated well and even came to check out the issue with the on demand water heater. A bad censor didn’t dampen our weekend as we just boiled water for cleaning dishes, etc. Cabin stated nice and warm on this cold Minnesota weekend! We already planned to come back and enjoy it during summer months!

Recharge your batteries
Lovely view of the lake. The property was clean and the area was quiet, especially since it was the end of October when most of the other guests have packed up for the season. We made use of the fire pit and full kitchen. Our dog enjoyed the walks along the State Park trail bordering the resort. the State Park was very scenic and relaxing. We had a little longer than usual wait to get in the cabin due to a misunderstanding of the previous guests, but it was communicated to us by the owner that additional time was needed to clean the cabin. He gave us some ideas for things to do once we arrived in the area to keep us busy. Like it says when reading about the resort, it is not fancy, but it is relaxing and just what we needed to recharge the batteries.

Quiet get away
The host of this cabin is a very nice guy. He was very helpful and provided free fire wood. The cabin is located in an old resort and there is not a swimming beach. The Sakatah State park trail is accessible near the cabin for walking or biking. We enjoyed our stay however, the one thing I was not aware of we were expected to clean the cabin. We did not find this out until we arrived. The note stated that since they do not charge a cleaning fee they ask the guests to mop floors, vacuum, clean the refrigerator, wipe all counters, strip the beds, wash the dishes and take out the garbage.

Get away to lake.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the cabin, it was one of the nicest ones we have rented. Only stayed 2 days but did get in some fishing as we brought our boat. It was nice to have a private dock to tie our boat to right by the cabin! The fishing was slow (expected for the end of August), but we did catch some walleye to bring home. Will definitely stay again!
