The style is fabulous, such attention to detail from the moody red lighting inside the lift shaft,the refreshments on each landing, bespoke bathrobes, Real World soaps & shampoos. The best hotel ive stayed in for a long time.....exceptional...knocks spots off the bland boxes you so often stay in.

An impressive, friendly boutique hotel in the city
Everything about the Intrepid is great! Staff were very helpful - I'd booked incorrectly, but they were very helpful and sorted everything out for us. The foyer is decorated in a dark period style. There was a lively bar at the back which had craft beer and decent wines. The bedroom was huge - decorated in dark warehouse style - I loved it. The croissants for breakfast were delicious, and we had some of the lovely snacks and soft drinks. Cuba street starts at the corner of the block and we tried a few restaurants along there - all delicious. Te papa museum is a 10 min walk.

Such a cool property, the stuff was super friendly and checked on us several times a day. They brought us a treat every afternoon. The coffee and croissants and coffee in the mornings were a perfect start to our day. The location couldnā€™t have been better.

Great little hotel
Itā€™s quite tricky to find the hotel as itā€™s unassuming from the front with a small sign. It is stunning as soon as you enter. The interior is very stylish and the elevator is so cool. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Our room was amazing; quite dark but very stylish. We loved the bathroom and the bed was so comfy. Itā€™s in a great place - not too far from the airport and surrounded by great shops, restaurants and cafes.
