We had a great stay here - the property is centrally located, nicely designed and has great amenities. The check-in process was smooth and we were happy overall. The only comment is on parking - if you are driving, the hotel does not have a car park and parking in central Wellington on a weekend was an absolute nightmare for us as we were unfamiliar with the city. I ended up finding 70 Tory Street Garage which was a 4 minute walk from the hotel, as the the closer car park ā€œCare Parkā€ only accepts payment via their app and the app is not available to international customers. Tory Street was only $20NZD for overnight parking and seemed safe and secure. The hotel providing more information on this in advance wouldā€™ve been useful!

Had a wonderful stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. We stayed in a suite with a washer/dryer which was convenient. However, it did take much longer to complete a load of laundry than I expected, about 3 hours. The hotel is perfectly located in the city, only a few minutes from the waterfront and many restaurants. The continental breakfast was also very good. Overall, it was a great experience.

Right in the heart of the CBD, the hotel has a great location, near dozens of restaurants and the waterfront and the national museum. The staff was friendly and helpful and gave us a good rate when we had to book an additional night due to all ferries being cancelled. The room was spacious and the bed comfy and had a large screen TV. The bathroom was tight but worked fine with plenty of hot water and nice towels.

The hotel is within walking distance of the harbor, cultural and historical features, eateries, and (for us) convenient to our congress venue, the Tākina exhibition and convention centre. The breakfast was more than a continental one and the seating encouraged meeting other guests, as did the happy hour with discounted drinks. The reception staff were friendly, thoughtful, and efficient. Love the warmed towel rack in the bathroom; great for drying personal laundry.

A real gem for the price!

Really enjoyed my stay here. Was surprised how nice the room and hotel was for the price, a great deal. Great art-deco vibes, comfortable and clean room, updated fixtures in the bathroom. Staff were helpful, included breakfast and coffee was delicious. Location is very much downtown, which includes the usual tradeoffs: some unhoused folks and party people, but easy access to transit, activities, museums, and great restaurants. The Dragons Restaurant right next door was fantastic!

We inadvertently booked an "accessible" room. It was very spacious and well equipped. It even had a washing machine and dryer. I was a little disappointed that there was no proper window, but it was very quiet as a consequence. A light breakfast was included. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Great home base in downtown Wellington

Weather was mixed as usual for December, but being downtown meant easy access to Te Papa (4 min walk), transport, and food options. Our 2 bedroom suit had all cooking essentials and things like dishwasher tabs and laundry detergentā€¦making life easy. Very comfortable beds. Balcony with nice view, only trouble was the flies.
