I can’t say enough about this property. It is beautiful inside and out, including the cows that come to visit in the mornings. Our “super host”,which is an understatement, was wonderful. Clyde communicated with us on the daily. The most wonderful part was learning the family history of this home. Thank you Clyde and family We will be back.

Great place, great host, peaceful location = 5 stars all around!
Great location if you are looking for distance from Waco, but close enough to drive (or uber) in for the day (20 mins out). Clyde was fantastic at communicating and the house is spotless clean with cold water in the fridge waiting for your arrival. Beautiful and thoughtful updates! Highly recommend!

A Perfect Stay
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this property! From the moment we arrived, everything was just as described in the listing, if not better. The home was spotless, well-maintained, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. It’s clear the host takes pride in the property, and it really made a difference in the overall experience. Communication with the host was a breeze. They were incredibly responsive, friendly, and eager to assist with any questions I had before and during my stay. I really appreciated the clear instructions for check-in. The location was perfect for my needs, and the surroundings were peaceful and relaxing. Overall, I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-managed vacation rental.

Ty so very much for sharing your family home with others! We haven’t been “staying” here, we have been “living” here the last couple of days. It takes me “home” to the farm life in my soul and you are a wonderful attentive host. You and your family did an amazing job on the remodel. And I love that you kept it personal with some of your family belongings and with the photograph of your dad, the painting from your mother and I’m sure she played this piano beautifully. We will definitely be coming back …. Soon!

Graduation Weekend
My family and I enjoyed our stay this past weekend. We were in the area for our daughter's graduation from Baylor. The house was immaculate, the kitchen was nicely outfitted with everything you might need. It is definitely one of the nicest properties we have stayed at. It was a very relaxing setting. We made breakfast each morning and also grilled one evening making use of the gas grill. We fed the cows while dinner was cooking. We did also see a roadrunner. The host's communication was excellent and he was very responsive to our questions and requests. If we are ever in the Waco area again, we will definitely stay at this location.

Peaceful and Quiet Nest
This property provided my husband and I a quiet, laid back interlude during our travels through the southwest. It was warm and welcoming and provided the perfect escape from all the hustle and bustle of the cities we had visited. It had all the amenities we needed with just a short drive to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. The single dwelling home is an updated and fully renovated farmhouse on a quiet paved road within 15 minutes of Waco. Though we never met the owner, Clyde, in person, he promptly responded to our texts and was very accommodating. We would highly recommend this property.

Best VRBO stay ever!
Clyde puts hospitality first and we felt so welcomed. His family home has been wonderfully renovated for guests and we had everything we needed for a fantastic stay. Quality through and through in the kitchen, living room, bedrooms. The surroundings are quiet and peaceful and the cows in the field are a key component of that peaceful presence one feels. For anyone who loves a cozy, quiet get-away, this is THE place to be!

All that you need!
This is the perfect spot to get away from city for a short, quick stay. We rented this house for a night while we attended a Baylor game. The house is inviting, charming and very down on the farm feeling. It’s quiet but still quick access to the highway for easy travel. Clyde is incredibly prompt with communication and even offers food to feed the farm animals. We would definitely rebook here!

Private and comfy
I loved staying here for Baylor Family weekend. This was a much better option for us than a Waco hotel. So quaint and quiet and only 15 minutes campus. The beds were very comfy, so we slept great. I’ll have to say that the cows coming to the fence line for water in the mornings is the main reason I’ll come back. It added to the vibe for sure!

Wonderful
This rental was wonderful. My husband and I needed a place to stay while taking my son to be dropped off at TSTC in Waco. This place was off the beaten path and after talking to the host, Clyde, multiple times I booked it. I was afraid I was bugging him, but his responses were always friendly and timely. I liked the idea that it was not in the city and that we were surrounded by the cows. The house was perfect for us. 2 bedrooms, 1 bath with an AC that kept us cool with 106 degree temperatures. The picture window was nice to look out at the trees. The kitchen had everything you would need to make a meal. However, we only spent 2 nights and did not end up cooking. This was the last night with college bound son and we just hung out at the house the first night. There were a few games in the kitchen which was nice to play before my son left us the next day. Did I mention there are cows? Well, there are. I really wanted to get the cows to come close to the fence so I texted Clyde about it. He stated he left us some food for them. I went out there and shook the bucket of food and they came right up to the fence. A few let me hand feed them, the rest I just placed it on the ground by the fence. There was even a little calf. I really enjoyed the mornings with the cows. So I will say it again, the host, Clyde, and this place was wonderful. If you want to be close to the hustle and bustle but not too close this place is the place to stay.

What a gem!
The first thing that caught my attention after reading the reviews of this property was the fact that Clyde was such a great host, and he lived up to his reputation! Great communication, friendly and courteous, after 3 years and 10 trips back and forth to Texas from Wisconsin, Clyde is my favorite host! This property is perfect if you want to visit Waco, just a very short drive to most attractions. Charming farmhouse with everything you need, modern updates, comfortable beds, all the details provided - games, coffee area, patio with picnic table, even frosted glasses in the freezer. We enjoyed our morning visits with the cows and we'll be back to visit for sure, thanks for sharing a beautiful property Clyde!!!

Wonderfully peaceful!
Our family stayed here for a long weekend and absolutely loved it! Exceptionally clean. While we didn’t take the opportunity to cook, the kitchen is well stocked and ready for homemade meals. The beds were comfy and the house had everything we needed as we enjoyed some quality family time. The cows in the pasture were an extra blessing! A well appointed home with a remarkable family history. We will definitely be back - as a family or a girls trip!
