The property had many international tourists. It is a short walk from the Yellowstone entrance, restaurants and grocery stores. They had a coin laundry available. The pool was well maintained. Breakfast was good. Did have a minor dispute with Wotif in that I wanted to stay one fewer day and processes to do that seemed not to exist.

The room was not well cleaned. Everything is outdated. Keys needs to be activated every night. Staff gave us a room that was occupied.

Our room was fine but the problem we had was with the woman taking care of the breakfast. I mentioned, kindly, that there were no paper plates for the waffles and she said “use the bowls -make do -or go buy your own paper plates”. I said “you want me to go buy my own paper plates? At first I was stunned at her comments to me. Not only did she say that to me but I heard her repeat that to others. The comment she said to many others was “make do.” She could have very nicely said - the supplier hasn’t come, I’m sorry-we only have bowls or placed a sign above the breakfast items that explained what happened.

We had a great two night summer stay here with two kids. The room was very clean and the breakfast was quite good. There were towels available for use at the pool/spa. We used the washer/dryer in the basement; note that it is coin operated ($2 charge each) and there is also a $1 charge for dispensing a single load detergent. Staff can give you coins if you don't have them.

After booking three rooms through Expedia, they tried to charge us an additional $100 per room when we arrived at the hotel. So we cancel our reservations and requested a refund.

This hotel is old and needs updating. The price they charge is only because it's so close to Yellowstone Park. It was clean and adequate, but nothing special.

ROOM STINK is the Overall Character
I wanted to give them a higher rating but just can not. If you arrive before 3pm check-in you are told to come back or leave and call to check and make sure your room is ready 1st. The room ODOR WAS HORRIBLE! It smelled like a combination of old moldy wet dog stink and dirty feet and was obvious the carpet had not been shampooed in years. The rest of the room cleaning was excellent but that was ruined by the STINK. The air conditioner was loud and obviously had problems, the bathroom fan/light combo worked intermittently, and you could barely fit anything in the freezer since it had not been defrosted probably in years. The breakfast was just fine for a free continental and the muffins were very good. BUT again that is incidental to the ROOM STINK. We will not book again. Obviously they do not care since it is West Yellowstone and easy to fill given summer demand. I rate as predator capitalists doing the cost-cutting profit squeeze (greed) and the death spiral is imminent without changes.
