Welcome to Sand Dollar Cove at Kingsmill! Enjoy a relaxing stay in this gated, private community. This neighborhood boasts walking trails, playgrounds and access to the beach of the James River, which can be seen from the deck. First floor living with a microwave, mini frig, basic utensils and plates, a Keurig, guest wifi and a smart TV give you all the comforts of home. This is a very clean and nicely decorated unit.This is a very large room, however. The owners described their unit accurately, but we are pointing this out as in this case the word "condo" is more a legal term than anything else, and may confuse some people. This unit consists of a very large, clean and well-maintained room. It looks like it was recently redecorated. The decoration of the room is very nice and really cute. The chairs in the sitting area are very nice and comfortable and looks to be pretty new. The carpet is very clean, and also looks pretty new.The bathroom has a huge shower with very good water pressure. The water pressure in the sink needs a little help. A towel rack might help as well.The beds are very comfortable, and the sheets are soft. The bedspreads are really cute, and are coordinated with the rest of the room.It might help if the area with the microwave, fridge, and dishes had a sink, although we can see why it does not, as it would require re-plumbing the area. We were not comfortable with doing dishes in the bathroom sink.The owners were very nice. We talked to Jaymie several times because we had trouble getting into the unit. (It was out fault, not hers - we failed to follow her very detailed instructions.)Overall, we would be very happy to stay here again but we would like to find out if the owners had another unit with a kitchen.Thank you!!

My parents stayed at this condo so that they could be close to us during the Thanksgiving holiday. It was nicely decorated and very clean! They loved the location and view off of the back patio. Great place to stay!

Adequate but not special
We enjoyed our stay at this property, but feel it was photographed in way that slightly misled us. The furnishings are different than the ones in the photo. And I believe that the photo may have been taken with a wide angle lens because it does not look as big as Shown. Additionally, it would be helpful to have a night table on either side of the bed with a lamp on each to make reading at night easier. The bathroom was clean in the shower was pleasant, but we couldn’t open the door to the back outside because the screen was off the slider and we were concerned about getting bugs and Berman in there. I think the owners are trying, but I think that a little bit of rehab would be helpful here.

Our 2024 Getaway
We were unable to rent the attached unit and decided to give the smaller room a try. It was all we needed and very cozy. We had a great time relaxing, shopping, walking, etc. and will be back again soon.

Perfect getaway spot
Really great quaint hotel room with amenities. The room is overlooking the James River with beach access at the marina, which is just a few steps away. The resort is situated in a gated community with plenty of walking trails and nearby activities. Private small porch on back of building with chairs and table. Room has a beautiful walk in shower and a nice little area with a small fridge and a Keurig, there is unfortunately not kettle to boil water for tea, but we have an electric kettle at home that we brought with us, along with our personal toaster from home - so we could have English muffins when we first woke up in the morning. Room comes with towels, no hair dryer in room. There is a great big tv along with 2 very comfy beds and a small sitting area! I would definitely come back here in the future if I ever go back to the area. Lots of really amazing restaurants and sights to see nearby.

The location was wonderful. The unit was cute, clean and supplied with most that we needed. It would be great for a weekend stay but we were there for a week and having no "living room" to kick back and relax and watch tv at the end of the evening after a long day exploring was uncomfortable. We were aware in advance but we didnt think it would matter that much. The unit had everything we needed. Towels, comfortable bed, clean room. The only issue we had while there was one showerhead didn't work. Just the handheld one in the middle of the shower. I'm just glad we weren't taller lol. I would very much recommend this place. It was great overall. Setting on the porch and drinking coffee watching the river was our favorite place while at the unit.

Perfect gated and central Williamsburg spot
You couldn’t ask for a better base for Busch Gardens and points further afield like Water Country, Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown. Is this place perfect? No, you could hear the neighbors upstairs walking around and the AC is loud (but works GREAT). But, I’m giving it 5 stars because it’s a great value for the money with comfy beds and a clean interior. My son and I had an awesome time!

Very much like a hotel room. The shower head was broken, and although dishes, cups and silverware were provided, the only place to wash them was the bathroom sink, which made us a little uncomfortable. The only map provided of the complex was not readable. We had to find one online.

Was able to use the amenities on the resort, as all the workers were so nice. Room was very nice but the overhead shower didn’t work. Luckily had an extra shower head we could use. My best friend and I decided to make this a yearly trip the first week of June so be ready for next summer!

Soaking in some history.
While staying in Williamsburg we visited Jamestown & Historical Williamsburg. It was a very easy deive to both places. The host left a binder with local restaurant suggestions. We went to Maurizio's Italian restaurant. It was delicious!

We really enjoyed our stay. The landscaping at Kingsmill is beautiful. Loved the patio and the view of the James River, and the short walk to the Mill for coffee in the morning. The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. We look forward to our next visit.

The condo was perfectly located between the historic sites. Kingsmill is a beautiful community and this condo had views of the James River off their deck. A perfect place to rest after a long day at the historic sites. The beds were comfortable, the room was spacious, and the bathroom with an oversized shower was updated. Also restaurants and shops are close by. We had breakfast at The Mill and dinner at the marina, both located within a short walk of the condo. Such a perfect spot! Cathy
