Pros: The owners really went out of their way to make me feel welcome, comfortable, and safe. Richard escorted me through the house to show me the food and comfort items they left for me, the layout of the house, and discussed security and lighting before asking if I felt safe. It was a nice touch. I’ve never been invited into a rental by an owner before!
-Hotel-style towels and fixtures in the bathroom, including a very cool lighted make-up mirror.
-Very comfortable beds.
-Very comfortable couch and chairs.
-Nice lighting installed to give the downstairs a soft glow.
-I was thrilled to have an electric kettle for making tea (my primary hot drink) because most rentals don’t have one!
Cons: I was allergic to something in the downstairs area and although Richard wanted to fix the problem, I couldn’t zero in on what the problem was, and I left early because of it.
-The wi-fi struggles - I had a hard time navigating the internet-based apps on my phone because it was sluggish.
-There are basic eating utensils in the kitchen - it works for one or two people but not much more without having to wash them after each meal.
-There are standing, oscillating fans in both bedrooms, which are necessary in the summer because the upstairs isn’t air conditioned and gets warm. This is not likely to be a problem in the cooler months, but if you like to be cold when you sleep, this won’t work for you.
Overall, this is a cute spot in a decent location. Richard’s hospitality was great!
