Hotel is very average. The room was dirty and the floors were sticky. The furniture is old and dated. The maids didnā€™t replace coffee or any other toiletries. Overall, disappointed.

There is quite a terrible musty smell to this place. I understand that it is on the river, and I am from Florida, but no hotel should smell of mildew and mold. It hits you as you enter the lobby, and it is throughout the hotel. As for the rooms, they are an upscale Holiday Inn type of room. The best thing going for this hotel is their river views.

Our stay was average. The mattresses could use an upgrade. I was surprised it was lacking comfort for this grade of Hotel. The outside area was lovely, but no one kept up with wiping tables, especially cigarette ashes.

My husband and I booked a one night stay here for our 10 year anniversary through Expedia. When we arrived our room was still being cleaned so we got a voucher for a free beverage at their restaurant. We got a text saying our room was ready and that we had been upgraded. Little did we know it was the suite room looking over the river with the battleship in plain sight!! I cried tears of joy and just wanted to say that even though they had no idea, they played a huge role in making our anniversary that much more special! We enjoyed the drinks at the bar, the live music and easy access to the riverwalk and the overall cleanliness of the hotel! We will be back and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place in downtown Wilmington! Thank you so much!

The hotel was very nice, upscale. The staff were very nice. Gated parking was easy to access. There is a large gap over the threshold of the door - assuming that the rooms used to have carpet and now are laminate - but the external room doors are very loud when they shut and this large gap allows for all sorts of noise to filter into the room. You can hear every conversation outside in the hall and when every door on the floor shuts. This makes for lots of waking up when there is activity in the hallway outside of your door.

Kinda old . In the bathroom the hand towel holder fell off when you touched the towel and it was held together with toilet paper wrapped around the inside bracket ā€¦.gross . We had a king size bed with a river view, pricey. Outdated and cold feeling , not decorated to look appealing.

The handle for the shower was broken and there was no way to get anything but nearly like warm water. Also no rooms have refrigerators so very problematic for a diabetic with insulin to keep cold.

Friendly staff. Hotel is right on the river walk. Great view of the Battleship from our room. Within walking distance of great restaurants and shops downtown. 20 minute drive to Carolina Beach

Not a great Hilton
It's a nice area, but I have been a Hilton Honors member for years. I am not used to this many irregularities in a room. I was very disappointed, and the network was out for ESPN. They only had one TV at the bar. An excellent modern facelift could make the hotel exceptional. It was on an upgraded motel level.

Overall the stay was enjoyable. The live music on Friday evening was a pleasant surprise. The food was very good at the Board & Barrel. The room was sufficient. No fridge or microwave was disappointing.
