Indoors, lounge on the incredibly comfy couch and chairs in front of the classic stove fireplace. Enjoy meals with loved ones at the four seat dining table. With a fully equipped kitchen adjacent to the dining area, this spacious and welcome living and dining area will make you feel right at home.

Venture onto the back porch and discover views of the valley and the incredible greenery that surrounds the home. For the early risers, sit and enjoy a breathtaking sunrise looking out over the hill country. On a cold night, gather around the fire pit and enjoy quality time with loved ones. Great location right next to everything and gorgeous views! We were a little disappointed at the cleanliness of the property and the outdated pictures online, but if you’re a fan of camping and the outdoors with a little vintage vibe, then this is the house for you! I would like to reiterate there’s no dishwasher and we found several dirty dishes from past residents. You also definitely need to buy a fly swatter or two and I might not recommend staying here for toddler and younger, but older kids would love the fusbol table and hot tub!

Gorgeous View
This was our first trip to Wimberley. The house was perfect and as described. Close to everything but very secluded. We spent most of our time out on the decks. The views were absolutely gorgeous. We would definitely book this house again on our next to Wimberley!

Enjoyed retro vibe of the property
Easy check-in and good communication. The house was a great size for 2 people enjoying a Texas Hill Country week. Older home but nicely kept. Cute furnishings. Nice deck to sit outside. Located close to HEB and the cute downtown shops and restaurants. A good base for exploring surrounding areas. Overall the house was very clean but dirty dishes (crusty, clearly unwashed) were found in the cabinet. Worth mentioning because it had been noted in another review. Previous guests are likely responsible not the owner. Wash dishes before using. A neighbor’s dog was left outside and barked all night long some nights was the only issue with the neighborhood.

Wimberly Get Girls Away
I stayed the weekend with my daughter, daughter-in-law, and her mother to celebrate our girls turning 30! The location was terrific, and I enjoyed the upper deck, lower deck, and beautiful views. We did not use the hot tub or sun porch. The house was clean, and the beds were comfortable. There are two things I would note: The sun porch has an unpleasant odor, but the house is perfect! The kitchen faucet sprays water everywhere when washing dishes! I would recommend this property to anyone who does not want to use the sun porch to sleep.

Wonderful home with delightful touches!
It was my sister and mother's birthday gathering! We found it relaxing and well located for HEB and restaurants. The house is charming and well appointed. There is really no one to communicate about this to since it is managed by a company and unfortunately, when I tried to communicate with them before the trip to ask some simple questions, I couldn't get any assistance. So, here goes so these simple details can be addressed for the next renters: I would recommend dish towels since there is no dishwasher and drying dishes was a challenge - we didn't want to use all the paper towels. There was no dish soap but we remedied that with a trip to the store. The hot tub had dirt in it and half of the jets didn't work but that didn't stop us from enjoying it and the fire pit. Overall, had a fabulous time and enjoyed the home very much! We made family memories we will always cherish. :D

Beautiful Views/ Amenities could improve
The property had amazing views from the top deck and was only about 5 minutes from the square which we loved. However, the house itself was not what you’d expect given how much we paid. I dropped something under the master bed and when I went to get it, I could see just a thick film of dust under there. For something with terrible allergies who paid a hefty “cleaning fee”, this was unexpected. The bathroom only had two rolls of TP provided for our entire stay so we had to buy our own. The shower did not look like it had been cleaned. The liner was dirty/moldy and the floor dirty. We cook a lot but were thrown off when there was no baking sheets provided and couldn’t use the oven. There’s also no dishwasher and we were only given an almost empty dishwashing liquid (no dish towels either). The selling point for me was the deck and rooftop seating. We spent most of our time there and did really love it. I would suggest that they occasionally wash the seating cushions out there though. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will return to Wimberley, but will most likely be looking for other preoperties to stay.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay with our snall dog and especially enjoyed the views from rooftop deck. Aside from that, the shower/tub needs updating and some of the dishes and utensils needed washing before use. Everything else was comfortable and accomodating for our needs.

Great comfy get away.
We had a great time in this cozy house in the woods. Great amenities and extremely close to everything we wanted to visit in Wimberly particularly The Square. The star gazing at night was a amazing and pet friendly was a huge plus. My only critiques are the hot tub could use a slight cleanup and the king size bed has seen better days but we still enjoyed our time and would stay again when we return to the area. Thanks for the great stay.

We enjoyed this place and its location to Wimberly. The porch is really nice and the foosball table was great to play. Hot tub is very nice and we had a wonderful time. No dishwasher though and not a ton of cooking items. Still we would come back.

Great Location and Great View
This was are second time staying at the Summit so we definitely enjoy the property. Has great amenities like hot tub, fire pits, a lower and upper deck with a beautiful view. There were definitely improvements from our stay two years ago with an improved King bed in the master, a newer gas grill on the deck, better backyard lighting and a foosball table. Dog friendly is another reason we came back. Our dogs remembered where we were as soon as they jumped out of the car. Definitely love the place overall. Only suggestion is maybe have the faucets and shower cleaned with some CLR. There’s some definite mineral build up happening. Toilet could use a tune up since you have to hold the lever down all the way to flush. Also does not have a dishwasher but that’s not a deal breaker.

Poor Cleanliness and Extra Agreement
Some things to point out not on the listing. After booking there is a background check. No biggie, I understand protecting your property. A couple of weeks before check-in I received a text saying I needed to sign the rental agreement. I missed an email that did not come from VRBO. They specifically have a place to upload rental agreements, so why is this not displayed in the listing? The 2nd agreement sent includes a slightly different cancellation policy, damage insurance is mandated ($10,000 content, $1,000,000 damage). No day guests allowed without authorization and a long list of rules. No biggie. We did have 2 friends meeting us for grilling on day 2 (locals) so I added them for authorization. I was then charged $50 for these guests. So annoyed a bit. If not signed you receive no refund. On arrival, the pictures do not live up to reality. The place was not clean. Dirt and muddy footprints in the jacuzzi. Stains on carpets. Yellow staining in bathroom and dirty shower. The toilet was not filling from the first use (as mentioned in other reviews) and needed tinkering. It was gross and needs updating. We did not shower day 2 to avoid. Honestly, we travel a lot and this is the first time I took the time to give a negative review as I was angry. They are for some reason not transparent, and the poor hygiene standards were a deal breaker. Also there is a $50 surcharge per hour early/late checkout that is not listed in the agreement but on a rule sheet in the rental.

Relaxing stay and outstanding views
The property was better than described with outstanding views from the deck, living room and master bedroom. Rooftop deck views were stunning. We had a cozy fire in the fireplace each morning. Very close to in town amenities, shopping & restaurants. Close to Jacob’s well for a quick day trip. Internet worked great! We will definitely be back to this relaxing get away!

I have stayed at VRBO properties both abroad and domestically for years; never have I been disappointed. My experience at The Summit was a first. The entire property has been greatly neglected - peeling paint, dirty floors, bloodstained pillows, unkempt grounds, nonfunctional receptacles, poorly equipped kitchen. The list of problems continues with dingy original cabinetry, stained linens, smudged and dirty glass patio doors, hanging cobwebs, and a fireplace filled with ashes that emitted a smoky odor. Crumbs were sitting in the utensil tray, and the kitchen shelves were dusty and dirty. The entrance door was filthy; trash littered the parking area; the AC vents were very dusty and covered with spiderwebs. It was difficult to believe that the house was cleaned before our arrival. The glass dining table was smudged as if people had eaten at it recently but didn’t bother to clean it. Some of the dishes were visibly greasy and dirty. I had to scrub them clean. Immediately across the street were two homes with vicious dogs that barked anytime we went outdoors. We couldn’t walk down the street without their barking. We did appreciate the proximity to downtown Wimberley and the starry night sky. However, the property does not exhibit the usual quality and charm of other rentals I’ve enjoyed.

Relaxing getaway!
The location was perfect to get away for the weekend! We enjoyed the hot tub every day and had multiple Foosball tournaments! Our only complaint, which is minor, is there were no steak knives! 🙃 we will definitely stay again!
