For breakfast, I went to the buffet. No mention of cost. For one cup of coffee, a slice of toast, two breakfast sausages and two slivers of bacon it cost me $21.23. Chances of me staying there again? Not on your life.

This was one of those hotels that we will never stay in again. We appreciate that they had a lot of people from the reserve due to the fires and that they need to be commended for, but there was an event going on and the foyer and the elevator were places people had dumped their garbage and housekeeping did not get it cleaned up until later the next day! The only plus side was the food in the restaurant was okay.

Some evacuees were housed in the hotel the night we were there, they were rude and unruly and caused the fire alarm to sound. We had to go outside at 11 pm. We had a four am wake-up call, it was not a great night. However, the hotel staff were so kind, especially Olga at check in. We asked for a wake up call and a shuttle to the airport and she most certainly arranged those things for us.

I was very disappointed with our stay. At check-in, we were not advised are any amenities (no pool times, restaurant times, check-out time etc), I requested a room in a quiet location and was told "sure". Our room was on the 3rd floor right at the elevator, so everyone entering or exiting the floor went right by our door. There was an abundance of noise encluding crying children heard frequently througout the evening/night. We woke up to a fire alarm a littke before 11 pm and had to evacuate the hotel for a period of time. Turns out the fire alarm was pulled on the 6th floor. The hotel was overrun with guests that had been displaced from northern reserves due to fires, and some had no regard for those of us who just wanted a good noghts sleep. Room- I booked a suite for extra space. The furniture and carpet was stained, doors didnt close quietly, a tap at the bar sink turned the wrong way, we had to ask multiple times for pillows for the pull out couch. Sheets and towels were clean. Heat could not be adjust in the room, 74 was too warm, but no abilty to adjust it. Outside the property needed to be cleaned up. We did not visit the restaurant or pool so cannot comment on that. For over $200 a night plus tax, I would not book here in the future.

Red Cross nightmare. No refunds granted.
Unfortunately, upon arrival we were greeted by hundreds of wild wife evacuees and refugees who were displaced to this hotel. There were no extra amenities available at the hotel whatsoever, including: no room service, no extra towels, bedding, pillows, no blow dryer in our room, and minimal parking in the lot. Because of the hundreds of evacuees on property, the pool, hottub, and gym were shut down and the restaurant on site was extremely busy when they were open. We were paying costumers who were greeted by hundreds of unruly evacuees and a large amount of security guards and Red Cross workers trying to create some order in the hotel. Upon arrival, security guards were patrolling the parking lot to ensure vehicles that were broken into were secured. This made us extremely uneasy. Unfortunately, the evacuees caused a MASSIVE mess at the hotel. The halls, lobby, parking lot, and elevator were completely disheveled and full of litter and garbage. There was smashed food in the carpet of the lobby, cigarette butts in the lobby, and tabacco spit and garbage piling up in the revelatory. The evacuees were laying in the lobby, and in the halls, and children playing in the elevators. Why this hotel would continue to book paying guests during an evacuation period was a shock to us, as we couldn’t enjoy the hotel grounds whatsoever. We spent 9am -9pm away from our hotel because we could not enjoy the property or our rest in the hotel due to the mess and noise caused by the evacuees.

We had a late check in due to our flight being changed. When we arrived around midnight, we were greeted by several highly intoxicated people outside congregating and smoking up in front of the entrance and parking lot, as well as a few security guards and police. The parking lot was disgusting with garbage thrown everywhere. We checked in and got to our room to find garbage thrown all over the hallway and kids running up and down the hallway, crying and yelling, doors slamming, a party going on in the room next to us. After 15 hours of travelling all we wanted to do was sleep and finally at 2am I asked the front desk if they could do something about the noise. We even tried to turn the old AC unit up full blast and the rattling wouldn’t even drown out the noise. They sent someone up and it quieted for a short while but then started up again. Finally at 6:30am we checked out because we hadn’t had any sleep and had an 8 hour drive ahead of us. If I hadn’t prepaid for the room and would have been able to be reimbursed, I would have instantly left and found another place to go for the night. The pool and hot tub were also out of order because these people had vandalized it. The hotel property inside and out was filthy and disgusting. The front desk staff did apologize and offer us a free breakfast in the attached restaurant but we declined as we no longer wanted to spend another minute here. Will never be back again. DO NOT stay here. It’s a complete waste of money.

Turns out the hotel was an evacuation stay hotel for indigenous Forrest fire victims. They left garbage everywhere and did not act very well. Hotel staff was amazing and Olga at check-in was great as was restaurant staff. Looked after us well considering the circumstances. Thanks to them. Put most of the paying customers on the same floor so our floor was quiet, clean, and comfortable.

Arrived after having made a reservation months ago and being confirmed only to be told that because of "circumstances" my two queen room was not available. Instead, they would give me a king bed and a cot for $50 off. Unacceptable when I'm traveling with an 82-year old and there is no acceptable excuse for my reservation not being honored. After a lengthy, difficult conversation it was finally resolved when they gave me a second king room free. Why did it have to come to this in the first place?

All staff were very friendly and accommodating except one man who was the manager. The pictures in the add did not match the look of the hotel. It was very old . The pool and the gym were down.there was quite a bit of riff raff around which explained the security guards on every floor. My kids wotnessed 2 fights , one was against a security guard.
