About this property

New creek side chateau guest suite! Booking for summer NOW! With hot tub!

The Alpine Ski Retreat is a beautiful, new home offering a spacious interior and unique amenities. This rental is for the ground floor portion of the home (stairs down to it) and has a spectacular patio right on Vasquez Creek with a brand new, 5 person hot tub. The guest portion of the home is completely separate from the rest of the home, and there are no shared amenities. Everything shown in the pictures is part of the rental. We rent out our ground floor when we are not using the home.

The Alpine Ski Retreat is located just above downtown Winter Park. There is a shuttle stop two houses away which will provide a bus access to Winter Park Ski Resort for skiing or summertime activities. Many activities are immediately outside our front door. We are directly adjacent to the trails of Vasquez Ridge, providing activities such as cross country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, hiking, ATV riding etc... You can bring your own snowmobiles, plenty of room in the driveway for a trailer.

The non-smoking unit has a fully equipped kitchenette, dining area, and living room. Cozy up to a warm gas log fireplace after skiing, while checking out the spectacular view of Vasquez Creek and the surrounding wildlife. On the patio is a large hot tub for your use. Please note, due to sanitation requirements, the hot tub may not be at full temp, 104 degrees, until the first morning after check in. We frequently have to drain and fill the tub between stays, and there is a 12 hour re-heat time. A Smart TV is provided for streaming all of your favorite shows via your Netflix, Hulu, etc... type accounts.

The 2 bedrooms consist of a brand new king sized bed in the master, and two sets of twin XL bunk beds in the second bedroom.

There is also a full laundry room available for use (included in the rent).

Relax after an invigorating day of skiing, or summer mountain biking, and enjoy all of the town festivities within walking distance. (less than 1 mile) This includes concerts, and entertainment events from the town band shell. The resort village also offers several attractions including Trestle, one of North America's largest mountain bike parks, an alpine slide, mini golf, human maze, zip line, gyro extreme, disc golf, rock climbing wall, bungee trampolines, gold panning, bouncy house, and a new downhill tubing track, with a ride back up. What's more, you are less than a mile from all the great local shops, restaurants, recreation center, sledding and tubing hills in downtown Winter Park! Enjoy golf with 3 first class mountain golf courses within minutes.

Property manager responded immediately to inquiry about extending our stay. Our kids loved the cabin feel of the home. The hot tub was big and clean. The creek behind the home was beautiful. We slept with the windows open and could hear it during the night.

Best stay in Winter Park yet. Super nice place. Very private. Back patio right above a running creek that sounds fantastic. Located close to town, but still seems like you are up on a secluded mountainside. If this place is avaliable, it would be our first pick blfor our next trip to Winter Park.

Amazing location in the heart of Winter Park. Close to everything and being located on the river is amazing. This home was perfect for our family of 4. The hot tub was great and the sites and sounds of the river right outside the back door where incredible. Easy to recommend this place and we would stay here again.

The perfect spot to relax after a day of skiing at Winter Park. Location was conveniently close to town and the slopes The home is very well stocked and clean. The hot tub was the perfect ending after hitting the slopes all day. John was easy to communicate with and very helpful throughout the entire process of booking and during the time of our stay. The only bad part was when we had to leave!

Wow!! This property blew us away!! Everything here was perfect for our family get away! John was super kind and available for any questions we had during our stay. Easy access to buses and town made Winter Park shopping, skiing, and snow shoeing easy to get to. Such a great birthday weekend getaway! The house was beautiful, great location. They didn't have a blow dryer which wasn't a big deal, but keep that in mind when you are packing. Opening the windows at night and hearing the creek was like white noise! We will certainly be back.

Great Getaway
We escaped the heat for a week-long getaway to Colorado with our family. The property was lovely- we enjoyed coffee on the back porch in the mornings while our kids roamed through the wooded area behind the house, and the close location to the town center was super convenient. The property manager, John, was helpful and responsive if we had any questions. It was the perfect getaway for our family.

Amazing mountain retreat in Winter Park!
John is a wonderful, communicative host and his home is spectacular! He gave us all the info we needed and made our stay perfect. The house is incredible, even better than the photos. Clean, spacious, well appointed, and very comfortable. The best part is the gorgeous deck with a great hot rub, right next to the river. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time there relaxing! We will definitely stay again!

We came for the Blues from the Top Festival. Had a great time at the Fest and fell in love with your cabin. It is modern yet warm and comfortable. The sound of the creek is amazing. Great location for the festival too!

Fantastic property and experience. The owner is great about communicating and gives clear instructions. We found the property to be very clean and we appreciated how well stocked it was. Amazing!
We can't say enough good things about this property. The house is practically new and it's evident that the owner thought of everything. Nice bedrooms, all with doors to the porch. Living room and bedrooms each have there own thermostats. Heated floors throughout. Hot tub is awesome after skiing. Perfectly located close to shops, restaurants and the lifts, plus the shuttle bus picks up right out front. Great communication with owner throughout. A+ Can't say enough.

Winter wonderland
We came to Winter Park for a winter family getaway. It dumped snow and was so beautiful. John, the host was easy to communicate with and very helpful. The house was a perfect set up for a small family. We had everything we needed at the home (though an high chair for infants would have been helpful) and the location was amazing for getting to town and to the ski resort easily. We loved having snow shoe and xc ski trails right down the road. My husband and I appreciated the hot tub while our kids were napping or once they had gone to bed-the views and sound from the back porch were stunning and relaxing. The cleaning crew may have passed over a few things too quickly between guests, but it didn’t affect our stay or the enjoyment of the home, and having access to a broom would have helped us to keep it tidy while we were there with kids. One thing to consider when planning a trip with a crawling/mobile infant is that the guest home is downstairs (the host’s home sits separately on top) and there is not a baby gate. We had the best time-will be back!

The property is a basement and suited us fine. Driving to Winter Park resort was short and easy but you have to go early to navigate the parking and get a spot! Loved the snowy tree view out back and the fireplace!

Awesome Place in WP!
This is an awesome place in Winter Park – especially if you’re skiing. Bus stop for the slopes is at the end of the driveway and in town where there’s plenty to do. The cabin itself is plenty large, very modern, great kitchen area with an awesome hot tub which is perfect for after hitting the slopes. The property was very clean with easy access and great communication with the owner. Highly recommend!

We were visiting Winter Park with our daughter who lives in Denver. The house was wonderful! It is located at the end of a cul-de-sac with a lovely creek right behind it. Coffee on the porch, listening to the creek in the morning was so nice. It is located very near the little town center, with its restaurants and shops, but tucked away in the woods, so not near crowds. It is only about 40 mi from one of the entrances to Rocky Mountain National Park, and other beautiful hiking areas as well. The house was very clean, modern, and comfortable. We loved our weekend!
