The Pink Cottage, Blaxhall

The Pink Cottage is a lovely and cosy two-bedroom holiday home situated in the picturesque village of Blaxhall with beautiful, countryside walks on your doorstep as well as a local pub a short walk away. Snape Maltings, famous for its concert hall, galleries, cafes and shops is only a 10 minute drive with the popular seaside town of Aldeburgh just under a 20 minute drive away.

Ground Floor:
Living area with L-shaped sofa, two armchairs, a woodburner, smart TV, kids toys and board games
Well-equipped kitchen with oven, hob, extractor fan, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, sink and back door out to the garden

First Floor:
King-size bedroom with a bedside table, chest of drawers and hanging hooks
Second bedroom with bunk bed
Shower room with shower, wash basin and WC

Outside:
Rear garden with patio and outdoor table and chairs

Please note there is no central heating in the cottage. There are electric heaters in the rooms and a wood burner downstairs. There is an electric shower upstairs with hot water but no hot water in the upstairs basin. The kitchen’s hot water is controlled by a small water heater.

Quick getaway
Very pleasantly surprised by the cottage. To be honest because it was available at such short notice when booking I didn’t know what to expect but it was perfect for us in every way. Clean throughout. Comfortable bed and furniture. Very private. Heating wasn’t an issue. Only nuisance was the hot water set up in the upstairs bathroom, but even that was okay!. We really enjoyed our short stay, it was everything we wanted and more. We would stay again and recommend to others.
