Roomy & clean but no coffee in room.
My review would have been excellent if they had a convenient way to have cofffee availble early in the morning. My wife and I are early risers. We had to wait for two hours for the breakfast buffet to open at 7:00 am. A Keurig in the room would have been nice.

If we visit Woodstock, VT again, without a doubt we will stay at the 506 On The River. By far the most comfortable bed and chairs in our room. Excellent complimentary breakfast. Clean, clean, clean. We love visiting quaint towns and this hotel was the absolute best we've stayed.

This is a lovely place- staff really great and helpful. A few things I’d change are the carpets - they let it down - wooden floors in bedrooms and scatter rigs in flier / god mattresses and pull out baths for showers to modernise bathrooms is needed . Finally the hall carpets are s bad choice they look unclean - maybe hessian type floor coverings?

What a wonderful hotel! The staff were great, particularly Robert who suggested some great scenic drives for us. Nothing to complain about at all! If we return to Woodstock this will be our number one choice

Pros: Beautiful location by the river. Well equipped rooms. Cons: Unwalkable from Woodstock. Some staff members came across as frosty and we felt an inconvenience to them. One male member of staff at check-in came across as completely unwelcoming, bordering on hostile. Had a real attitude problem that needs addressing. If we hadn't already pre-paid, we would have gone elsewhere!
