Step into a piece of history! Built in 1930 by Bolton Brown, an original founder of the Woodstock Artist Colony, this Arts and Crafts-style cottage is a true gem. Home is artfully decorated and filled with light and creative energy. Nestled on 1.4 private acres of wooded land, it offers a tranquil, treehouse-like atmosphere to connect with nature.
Cook in the charming country kitchen. Relax in the cozy living room, originally an artist’s studio. Unwind in the unique sunken tub that overlooks the surrounding forest through a large bay window.
There are two bedrooms that are both bright and airy. The primary bedroom downstairs has a queen-size bed, a private sitting area, and its own entrance. The main-floor guest room offers a full-size bed and a large window ledge overlooking the Sawkill River. The living room includes a queen-sized lofted bed, perfect for lounging or accommodating extra guests.
Outside, you’ll find ample space to enjoy nature, including a spacious deck and a screened-in porch with an overhead fan and dining table, ideal for summer meals.
Located in the hamlet of Zena, just 3 miles from the town of Woodstock, you’ll have the best of both worlds: enjoy live music, eclectic restaurants, and shops, or stay in for a peaceful evening by the fire.
Please note: The front entrance of the home is accessible via a set of stairs. Guests should be comfortable with stairs to enjoy their stay.
We welcome well behaved dogs for an additional pet fee of $75. The yard is not fully fenced, so we recommend keeping your dog on a leash or under close supervision when outside.
