The place reflects the price
The hotel is located in the old city. Cars can't get close to the hotel, you will have to carry your luggage down some stairs and navigate a few back alleys. The hotel itself is located in an old building (just like most of them). The hotel owners were friendly, however, the room is far from great. The room smelled a bit of mildew and cigarettes. The bathroom did not have a working shower and I had to use one in another room. The beds seemed old, hard, and not very comfortable. The bedding was old and needed a change. The floor was old laminate and was chipped and buckling in many places. The bathroom was of the "squat toilet" type. The towels in the bathroom were thin and not very nice on the skin. I suppose for the price it was ok, but not stellar by any means. Outside the rooms there was a small gathering area with a decent view of all the old roofs. It was nice to hang out here in the morning for a few min. Walking to the river only takes a few minutes, however, you need a map since the town is built like a little maze. Also, if you don't like or can't deal with navigating stairs, stay far away from this town or you will have issues.
