Newer property but not super clean in the halls or elevators. Staff was nice but not overly friendly. Buffet food was average tasting but many choices. Plan for a lot of walking in the halls.

Modern property with open spaces. Well decorated and kept spotless at all times. Only wish there was more entertaiment at the adults only hotel, other have more stuff to do. Some shows were boring. Food was very good. Location is far so if you plan to visit places outside hotel transportation is expensive and time consuming.

I liked the lounge food options. The scale of the resort allows for separation when you need privacy. The music was too loud. They don't need that much speaker power on a concrete building. Can't sleep at 11PM. Quiet overall, except the event area.

I love Barcelo Maya Riviera! This is my second time staying and I plan to return. The stay is always amazing. The property is very well kept and provides so many activity options. The service is wonderful. When you hear them say welcome to paradise. That’s exactly what it is!

My wife and l just came back from a week long trip from the Barceló Riviera all adults The service at this hotel is great, from Jose Hue at the buffet (very friendly and great service) to Fernanda and the entertainment team at the pool and all the team at the specialty restaurants, great job everyone. One thing we noticed was that the people cleaning the rooms were a bit pushy to get in the rooms to start doing the cleaning, they did a great job cleaning but a couple of times we were in the middle of taking a shower and they only knock once and open the door, and that was a little awkward, they have a button on each room to let the housekeeper know that you don’t need service but they still try to get in the room after knocking once, entertainment at the hotel was ok, l noticed some issues with the sound , some of the shows were a bit hard to listen due to a lack of a sound engineer?? We never got any information on the shows from the other hotels until probably the las couple of days when we went and ask the front desk and they provided a list with all the shows , location and times, probably would help if we got this information when we arrived, all the specialties restaurants were good with excellent service, great beach, only downside is they don’t let you take any food to the pools or the beach, still this is a great place to stay and relax, we highly recommended and we would love to come back to visit again!

Food was not as good as it was in the past. Adults only,entertainment scarce, no iron and iron boards in the rooms. Other then that, waiterscand waitresses are awesome!!

Staff is rude and not welcoming. Making you feel like you owe them something. Even when you try to leave the property to go for a car ride they won’t open the gate before answering bunch of questions. I get it if you’re entering the property. Poor quality and service especially at the check in.

The property was beautiful. The beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. There was a lot to do between all the different resorts we have access too however service lacked at the bars and pools. Not enough staff waiting on people for drinks. Restaurants had great food and service but Buffett food was just okay. Beautiful pools and beaches.
