Great location
Great location and staff very friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfy and the sensor light under the bed was great idea when going to the loo in the dark. Bathroom compact but clean and modern with shampoo/shower gel. Only downside was lack of storage/shelves etc but ok if only visiting for a night or 2. Would definitely book again.

Noisy, works going on first room window had scaffolding outside with stuff moving up and down outside during construction, moved room and no scaffolding but found it noisy. Rooms are small and lack some normal hotel facilities Positives are location and most staff friendly Regularly stay in York I’m unlikely to return I was notified after booking through hotel.com that there were construction works going on but couldn’t cancel as booked unrefundable although hadn’t stated on hotel when booking as I wouldn’t have booked so disappointing hotel.com process

My daughter and I had a great stay in this hotel. Staff were super friendly and the room was clean and well equipped. We loved the informal reception/restaurant/bar/games room on the ground floor. It was a really comfortable and fun space to hang out.

We chose the Moxy Hotel in York due to its location and the appealing photos. The first person who greeted us was Jessica, who was very nice and welcoming. My 9-year-old daughter loved her; Jessica was so accommodating and greeted us every time we saw her. There was also a nice young man (I can't remember his name) who was particularly kind to us, especially to my daughter, teaching her to sing the Euro FA Cup football song on the night England played and won. All the staff were wonderful. We loved our stay so much that we extended it to a total of 14 nights. We will be back next year as we travel through Europe again. My daughter fell in love with York. Please pass our message to all the staff, especially Jessica and the young man who sang with Sabrina. Thank you so much for making our holiday complete and satisfying.
