I loved this little hotel. The staff were all lovely, especially the breakfast crew. Everyone was so welcoming. My room was clean and cozy. The steps were a bit of a challenge for me; I was on the top floor. Everything else, I couldn't have hoped for more.

Excellent stay, staff went out of their way to help. Breakfast was very good something fir everyone. Hotel 5 minutes walk from centre York and 15 minutes from station, overall great position.

Great location near the Minster and a good selection of eateries. Staff could not have been more helpful. We also really appreciated the quiet! The breakfast options were great, and although this might not have been a 'luxury' hotel it had everything we wanted at a reasonabke price.

Short stay just right for York
All staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms well appointed and hotel only 10 mins walk from York Centre. Breakfast was good value for the money.

Enjoyable 1 night stay, very nice hotel
We had a very enjoyable 1 night stay here. We arrived and luckily managed to get the last car parking space, were quickly checked in and everything was good with our room, other than half the lights on the mirror not working and a few cracked tiles but nothing major. The curtains did let quite a lot of light through in the morning but as we were up early anyway this didn't really bother us. Breakfast was good, there was a buffet with juices, fruit, cereals, yoghurt, toast and pastries then you get to order cooked items as well, very reasonably priced breakfast and everything was nice.

Great little hotel.
We have stayed in this hotel several times and it has been consistently good. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast is always good, with several options. The secure on-site parking is a bonus.

Hotel is in a great location with only a 5 minute walk into town. Room was spacious and has all the facilities that you need. Staff were very friendly and the service was great. The section of the hotel we were in is old fashioned but we liked that bit. Overall a great place to stay for two nights.

Great hotel with parking on site. The hotel is walking distance to all of the tourist hot spots of York. The size of the room and the amenities were also great. My only complaint would be the bed. It is in need of a new mattress. That said, I slept great! We did a lot of walking, so I think I was exhausted. I would definitely stay here again.

On checking in, I was given the only basement room; no natural light and no warning the hotel had a regular room in the basement or that I would be out in there. After making a fuss about it, and while I was looking for a new hotel, the receptionist found a room for me on the first floor. A bit loud with street noise, but at least it had a window and natural light.
