Of course, you’ll want accommodations to match, and our Serenity Suite offers what few places in Yosemite can—a luxury home that’s private and peaceful. Designed as perfect for a couple, it’s the perfect setting to create lasting memories together. Located at 5,500 feet, it provides an escape from high temperatures on the Valley floor in summer and proximity to fun at Badger Pass in the winter.

Located inside the park gate, in the Yosemite West neighborhood, Serenity Suite is approximately 20-30 minutes from popular attractions, including the Valley floor and its breathtaking waterfalls, Glacier Point, and the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoia Trees. It sure beats long drives from outside the gates or sitting in lines for hours! Even lodging just a few miles outside the gates can mean over 1-hour waits or being forced to start vacation days before 7 am to beat the crowds. Not so at Serenity Suite! Start each day on your own schedule.

Serenity Suite is of modern construction, and you can feel the care that went into every detail, including high-end finishes such as handcrafted Shaker-style cabinets and top-notch kitchen appliances. Guests always rave about the quality and comfort of this beautiful home, from the very comfortably outfitted King bed to the large covered deck. We’ve finished the home with marble countertops in the bathroom, granite countertops in the kitchen, and a soothing jetted tub. You’ll be tempted to spend your whole vacation lounging inside! The home is fully equipped - towels, linens, dishes, cookware. You only need to bring yourself, your food/drink, and a good time!

As you can see in our pictures, the living area and bedroom are connected. In fact, the whole suite boasts an open floor plan and extra high lofted ceilings that both make the space feel much bigger than it is. There are windows all around the main room, so you’ll enjoy plenty of light and incredible views of the woods while relaxing in front of a cozy fire. The dining area seats four, and the spacious kitchen comes fully equipped. Also unique is central air conditioning for your comfort, more functional than mini-splits and not common in our area.

Outside you’ll find a huge covered deck with a barbecue. As from the inside of Serenity Suite, you’ll enjoy forested views all around you when relaxing outside with morning coffee or your evening refreshments. It’s nearly impossible to find this kind of private retreat elsewhere in Yosemite and still stay central to everything.

Serenity Suite is located below our other unit, Royal Retreat (which sleeps up to 4 people). All of your space is separate and private including your parking area, entrance and deck. The entrance to the suite is down an 18-step stairway which is extra wide to make it easy to get luggage in and out. PLEASE NOTE: because this is a lower unit, you will hear footfall and other sounds of occupancy coming from the unit above. While we built the home with soundproofing and our guests to date have been satisfied, please expect this.

TV/Entertainment: There is no TV service at our home. We have a DVD video library with a variety of titles including Yosemite related films. Streaming entertainment is available using your own entertainment account.

Cell Service: There is NO cell service at our home. We provide a landline phone with long distance calling options. We can advise you on areas of the park with cell service. Wi-Fi calling is available to support the use of your cell phone without a cellular signal.

Internet and Wi-Fi: We live in a remote area. Internet is Starlink Satellite. Due to the forested and mountainous location, certain functions such as live video (i.e. Zoom) are generally limited and performance will vary.

Maximum occupancy: Normally 2 people. Infants under 6 months can be added to this maximum at no charge. Seasonally we may offer this for booking for 3 people, which would be 3 people, any age, no exception for adding infants. There is a charge for the 3rd person, even if they are under 2 years old, except there is no charge for infants under 6 months old.
