This spacious 115 m² apartment is in a quiet area. A short walk to the town center and beach, 5-10 min.
All exterior windows with a view to the mountains and the marsh. Fully equipped for six people comfortably accommodated, no sofa-bed. There is also a cot and a high chair for a baby. IDEAL FOR FAMILIES.

Between Bilbao and San Sebastian, Deba is a small town safe and crime is very low or nothing at all. Parking for free 500 m. from the building. The temperatures are usually mild. An ideal climate for those who want to flee the sweltering heat.

Exploring the Basque Coast
Great location for exploring the Basque Coast. Apartment is great for families...exceptionally clean with modern conveniences. Owner is responsive within minutes by phone or email, and is quite helpful with recommendations and suggestions for sightseeing, dining, etc. If we return to this area of España, we would certainly look to book this apartment again.

A fabulous stay.
We spent a week at this clean spacious and well equipped apartment - 3 of us including our 10 year old daughter. We wholeheartedly recommend this place as base to explore Euskadi - its beautiful coastline, and its spectacular inland countryside. The apartment is in a quiet residential part of the town. The flat is very tastefully furnished and has a small balcony looking out across the lush Basque hillside . Joxean the owner is a lovely man- welcoming us on our arrival and always available to solve any queries or issues. He is a great guide to the area and we greatly appreciated his advice and recommendations for places to see and eat. Deba itself has lots to offer- a beach as lovely as anywhere on the coast- and a town with lots of historical interest , restaurants, cafes and shops. Its well served by public transport- taking the train to Donostia or Bilbao or any of the small towns along the coastline is easy. After a week we were left with a hope that one day we should return to unravel more of what the area has to offer.

Our early September stay in Deba
The apartment is well appointed, comfortable and tranquil at night. Joxean is a very welcoming and helpful host who gave us lots of good advice on places and restaurants to visit--and in reality many of the other Deba restaurants had great ambiance but only basic cuisine. As a couple we enjoyed the sunny balcony off the kitchen but it is small and the terrace off the main bedroom gets no sun and has no view. Deba is not considered a tourist attraction in itself, but the locals are very friendly as is the tourist office. The town is full of life in the evenings and the large sandy beach is popular with swimmers and surfers alike. The easy to access railway has a regular service all along the coast from Bilbao to San Sebastián. All in all we had a most enjoyable holiday with plenty to see and do. We were very happy with our choice of apartment.

Lovely apartment in great location
We really really enjoyed our 2 week stay in Joxean's flat in Deba. The flat was spacious for two of us and great that it was really cool inside even when 38 C outside. It is really well equipped for cooking and relaxing , including good wifi and things for fun on the beach. All the rooms were a good size. The small balcony off the kitchen gets great afternoon and evening sun and has a good view onto the hills. We enjoyed sitting on a couple of chairs reading. The balcony off the main bedroom is larger but doesn't get much sun - it's good for drying the washing. Joxean gave us a good welcome, helped us park the car and gave us lots of information and recommendations about the variety of things to do. There's plenty of leaflets in the flat. Generally small roads and parking can be tight in Deba in evenings and weekends when people come for the beach but where the flat is, is there are a few options. Deba is a great location, it's only 10-15 minutes walk through town to a good beach. A few minutes to the supermarket. It's five minutes to the train station where there's an hourly service to San Sebastian and Bilbao and places in between. In fact we'd say a car isn't needed! There are lots of lovely walks directly from the flat - we did a few that were circular and a few where we got a bus or train one way. The coast and hills were beautiful and particularly at low tide because of the geological flysch rocks. In Deba there are nice places to eat, not particularly touristy, a good friendly local feel. The tourists generally are those on the Camino de Santiago trail. Overall, a lovely flat with a helpful owner/host in a beautiful location and a relaxing holiday.

Positives: The apartment is well equipped with good facilities. Three nice bedrooms (2 double beds and one twin room) Kitchen has everything you need for a short stay. Location is excellent for both San Sebastian and Bilboa (and other local towns). Deba also has a nice beach New lifts in the apartment block. Negatives - (minor annoyances really) The streets around the apartment block are small (but not in a pretty way) which makes the on street parking a little tricky but generally you can find a spot. Water pressure in the shower was poor. The apartment block stairs and lobby are still being refurbished, and still needs final painting.

Appartement agreable a deba
Nous avons trouve un appartement tres propre et avec des chambres grandes et agreable. Le coin salon salle a manger est plus reduit par contre. Nous n ´avons manque de rien, le proprietaire nous a bien accueilli et bien conseillé des excursions aux alentours. La plage est a 10/12 min a pied et le parking un peu loin.a 500metres mais toujours de la place. Nous avons passe un tres bon sejour.

Die Messer waren scharf!
Räume und Ausstattung hervorragend. Dies ist die erste Ferienwohnung in der die Küchenmesser scharf waren. Vermieter ist sehr hilfsbereit. Kleines Manko: Parkplatzsituation ist nicht ganz einfach. Tipp: Ganz bis zum Ende der Straße durchfahren (sehr schmal). Dort gab es meist noch Platz.

sehr netter Gastgeber, schöne Wohnung
Wir haben als 2 Freunde dieser Ferienwohnung gebucht. Die Wohnung ist genauso, wie es die Bilder zeigen und der Besitzer ist wirklich sehr hilfreich und kommunikativ (englisch). Die Fewo befindet sich in einem normalen Wohnhaus ruhig am Ortsrand gelegen. Es gibt 2 Fahrstühle die erst in den 1. Stock und nach Umsteigen in den 3. Stock führen. Die Betten sind gemütlich und gut ausgestattet (für die Doppelbetten eine große Decke für 2). In der Küche ist alles da, was man braucht. Es gab 2 Regenschirme und im Schrank lagen auch Strandmatten. Deutsches Fernsehen konnte ich leider nicht aufrufen, aber man kann die üblichen Streaming portale nutzen (Zugänge mitnehmen). Aus Bilbao kommend sind wir mit dem Zug angereist (4,50€). Alle Orte ostwärts sind ebenfalls mit dem stündlich fahrenden Zug gut erreichbar. (Bis Donostia/San Sebastian 5,20€) Die Orte westwärts erreicht man per Bus (1,85€). Auch südlich könnte man mit dem Zug fahren und Wanderungen unternehmen. In dem kleinen Ort waren jeden Abend viele Leute zum geselligen Beisammensein auf den Plätzen zusammen. Ein richtiges Manko ist leider die Parksituation. Überall in der Stadt findet man weiße Striche mit einem B, was heißt: kostenlos für Anwohner. Ein Bewohner wies uns darauf hin und das schliesst eigentlich jeden innerstädtischen Parkplatz aus. Es gibt kostenpflichtige Parkplätze in Strandnähe und ca. 800m von der Wohnung entfernt, vor dem Ort. Dort kostet es 0,50€/Stunde von 9-20 Uhr. Wir hatten die letzten Tage ein Auto bei Check24 gebucht. Vorallem um die Anfahrt zum Flughafen einfacher zu gestalten. Abholung war in San Sebastian. Das ging viel einfacher als gedacht. Die Rückgabe am Flughafen Bilbao war dagegen schwierig, weil die Tankstelle dort samstags geschlossen hat und sonntags auch nur Nachmittags offen ist. Das muss man beachten. (Wie mussten dafür das Benzin und eine Tankgebühr 25€ bezahlen) Falls wir nochmal nach Deba kommen würden wir wieder dort buchen.

Nice and big appartment close to the City center
The appartment has 3 bedrooms and a large kitchen-dining-livingroom. The appartment is very clean! It has everything you need in the kitchen. The house is modern, with an elevator. It is very close to the City Center. Only 5 minutes by walking. In 2 minutes walk is a big supermarket (Eroski). The only critical point is the parking situation. There is no own parking Spot. And sometimes it's tricky to find a place. San Sebastian is 30 minutes by car and Bilbao 45 minutes. But there are also a lot of little towns and very nice places to visit. Joxean is a perfect host !!!! He gives a lot of recommendations for visits. And you can reach him any time by phone /WhatsApp, in case that you need something in the appartment, or for another recommendation.

Schöne Wohnung in Deba
Deba hat einen schönen Strand zum Schwimmen mit Wellen, wenn es mal ruhiger ist kann man auch an den felsigen Teil und schnorcheln. Der Supermarkt ist von der Wohnung gut erreichbar. Joxean kümmert sich sehr um seine Gäste und dass alles passt. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet.

Angenehmes, gut ausgestattetes Appartment und sehr freundlicher Besitzer
Joxean kontaktierte uns sofort nach der Buchung, gab uns Tipps für Anreise und Reiseplanung. Bei unserer Ankunft erwartete er uns im Appartment mit Cidre und Käse aus der Region als Begrüssungshäppchen, erklärte uns alles und war auch im weiteren Verlauf des Aufenthalts immer per WhatsApp oder Telefon binnen Minuten für uns erreichbar. Das Appartment ist angenehm, funktionell, sauber und freundlich eingerichtet. Die Beschreibung des Appartments im Fewo Portal ist also absolut realistisch. Es handelt sich um ein normales Wohnhaus mit mehreren Parteien. Obwohl wir mit 2 Kindern unterwegs und sicher nicht immer sehr leise waren hat sich von den Nachbarn nie jemand beschwert. Etwas Rücksichtnahme ist aber sicherlich erforderlich. Ich würde das Appartment jederzeit wieder nehmen und kann es voll empfehlen! Die persönliche Betreuung durch Joxean war herausragend. Herzlichen Dank für den tollen Service!

La casa es de dimensiones amplias, cómoda de utilizar, con todo lo necesario para pasar unos días. Está en una calle tranquila, al lado del monte, pero en la calle que va directo al centro, así como permite en un paseo llegar a la playa. El propietario es amable y está disponible para cualquier consulta, sugiriéndote recomendaciones si se las pides. En fiestas es difícil aparcar pero el resto del verano ha sido cómodo (realmente es dificil aparcar en general en toda la costa, aquí solo en fiestas). Deba es un pueblo tranquilo donde poder desconectar, pero que a su vez tiene vida y movimiento.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft
Die Wohnung war für uns als 4 köpfige Familie perfekt. Sie hat alles was man in einer Ferienwohnung erwarten kann. Der Vermieter ist sehr bemüht, gibt sehr viel gute Tips und kümmert sich auch gerne um Reservierungen, falls notwenig. Deba selbst ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt zur Erkundung des Baskenlandes.
