We did not stay the night at this property. We pulled in to a gravel area with all kinds of junk around. Knocked on a couple of doors in the front building. There were no other cars around. No one answered. We drove around the larger building and still did not find anyone. We saw one car at the back of the building and drove to it. We then saw a window that said open, ring bell. We rang and waited. A woman answered and said it would be $85. We asked what was going on and she said all the customers were staying in the back. Then she gave us a key to the room next door. They did not have an office, just a window that barely opened. We signed our receipt on the concrete wall outside with a pencil the woman handed us. The room was hot and muggy, with no air on and it stunk. We were told it was 6.6 miles from Milam, Tx., but it was 35 miles away. We were scammed out of our money and limited time we had for the day to visit a friend. The man, Tom, was very rude and obviously a little shady. There was no way we would have felt safe staying there.
