  • We guarantee 100% No Shopping Stops in our tours. If any itineraries don't mention No Shopping Stops, they MUST have shopping stops as jade factory or tea ceremony. Even you don't see shopping related words in their spamming itineraries, it is indeed a shopping tour. Be sure to check out with the operators about the shopping stops and read reviews from their clients carefully to see what the real experience would be. By joining a shopping tour, your time spent on attractions will be shortened, and you will be pressured to buy overpriced items. Normally the so called jade factory or tea ceremony is the tourist trap. You have to stay there an hour or more for travel agents to get the commission. If you prefer to enjoy the tour thoroughly, you are suggested to choose a tour without any annoying shopping stops.
  • We offer free pick-up within the third ring road of the Beijing city. To ensure the morning pick-up going smoothly, we suggest you choose centrally located city centre hotels. If your hotel is beyond our free pick-up range, you may need to get to a meeting point or pay extra for the pick-up. Your travel consultant is ready to help.
  • Group Size: About 11 people. There are chances that 10% of the tour groups will exceed 9 people but we will make proper arrangements.
  • Important note: Entrance tickets of the Forbidden City are usually released online 7 days in advance and could be easily sold out. Kindly advise you to book the tour 8 days before since the ticket purchase is based on the real name policy.
  • Departures are guaranteed with two persons on Day 01 and with three persons on Day 02.

We had Tom as our guide for both days of this tour, he was very knowledgeable on the sights visited & history. The first day was a very long day travelling out to the Great Wall, not helped by Beijing traffic. Tour is a great way to see all the major sights of Beijing, there is limited time at each stop however we felt this was sufficient when there is so much to fit in to two days. I’d suggest leaving yourself a free day after this tour in case there is anywhere you wish to re-visit to spend more time. However I would recommend this tour to others

On day 1 we had Lucy, she was great, very informative, helpful and flexible. On day 2 we had Kevin who was very informative but totally inflexible: apparently getting 5 minutes to visit a gift shop was impossible etc. His attitude was just bad and another day with Lucy would have been more preferable. Overall the tour was worth it as I very likely could not have organised and traveled to everything we did in these 2 days on my own, just make sure you ask for Lucy.

If in doubt, 5 stars. It's a great 2-day itinerary. You see the most important sights. You have to bear in mind that there isn't much time to visit the each sight in detail. One should plan an additional day for what interests most. The visit to the Forbidden City is more of a slow, continuous walk through. What we didn't like was that there were two separate one-day tours, each with a different guide and a different group. The agency also swapped the daily program, which we didn't like. Neither of these was communicated in advance. Both guides spoke good English, Linda was much easier to understand. The guides were very helpful with our vegan diet. Lunch in a restaurant in Beijing on the first day cost 6 USD for two people, the lunch buffet at the Great Wall of China cost around 30 USD with travel agency discount. The vehicle on the first day for 4 guests was very luxurious, the bus for 10 guests on the second day was OK, although it smelled strongly of petrol at the beginning.

Very organized and a great way to see Beijing! My husband and I went in November for his birthday. A bit chilly but fun!
