What you can expect

Embark on a guide city tour of Accra visiting, visit the National Museum of History and Ethnography to observe exhibits that reflect the heritage of Ghana through-out history to the present. Proceed to visit the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum and Park, final resting place of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the first President of Ghana.

The Mausoleum has been visited by many world dignitaries. Stop at the Independence Square, Accra’s open-air ceremonial grounds where all national celebrations are held, for photo opportunity.

Drive through Old Accra which was divided into Dutch and British Accra as a result of the two European nations operating from different locations within the same township of a little under 1sq kilometre.

Drive past James Fort built by the British in 1662, Old Accra Square and the Post Office. See Ussher Fort, one of three European forts in Accra which have survived the times.

Your last stop on the tour will be the Accra Arts and Crafts market where you may try out your bargaining skills on the local vendor. Time permitting we will visit W .E. B. DuBois Centre for Pan African Culture, dedicated on 22nd June 1985 in Accra, Ghana. The Du Bois Centre is a library to commemorate the late W.E.B DuBois. The Centre consists of the museum which contains memorabilia and his personal library
