Make your way to Belmont Mansion, located just 3 miles from city centre Nashville. Walk through the meticulously restored rooms of this Italian Villa style home, complete with an impressive display of original furnishings, artwork and statuary. Belmont Mansion is a must-see for anyone interested in women's history, Tennessee history, the Civil War, architecture, art and decorative arts. Ring the doorbell and our historical interpreters will welcome you inside to view this elaborately decorated Victorian home. Then, take an optional self-guided tour of the meticulously maintained rose garden and grounds now part of the Belmont University campus, one of the 10 most beautiful urban campuses in the country starting from the front steps of Belmont Mansion.  At the end of your visit, make your way back to city centre Nashville and enjoy the city.

I upgraded to the guided tour for an additional $4. It was well worth it, if you really want the history of the time and house the mansion and family played a role. The home is well preserved and Tom, my guide, was very knowledgeable.

We really enjoyed learning about the history of the family that lived there and some of the events that happened. It’s wonderful to know that they have been able to find and restore many of the original pieces of furniture that are from the house.

It was fun visiting this old mansion, which is adjacent to the university. After you tour the mansion, walk around the grounds.

The Belmont Mansion has beautiful architecture and many original pieces. It is a step back in history and a glimpse into another world. The chandeliers were gorgeous, and the fireplaces magnificent. Thank you for allowing self-guided tours with plenty of people to answer questions.
