What you can expect

Book your entry ticket to La Cité du Vin in Bordeaux, covering 18 exhibits on the theme of wine. Skip the line to enter, and then spend around 3 hours making your way through the exhibits with the aid of a hand-held digital guide available in 8 languages.

Take a journey to the heart of the great history of wine. Through interactive spaces, explore vineyards all over the world, put your senses to the test, or learn a bit more about the fabulous process of winemaking.

At the end of the tour, head to the 8th floor and its Belvedere for a 360-degree, panoramic view of Bordeaux and the surrounding area. Also, enjoy a glass of wine at a tasting session, choosing from a renewed selection of 15 world wines.

After your visit, you can browse the on-site boutique, the wine cellar with a vast international selection, the restaurants (with one on the 7th floor offering a panoramic view), and the reading room.

I love all the detailed information about wine. The staff at three tower was very rude though and didn’t give any explains nor directions but the staff at the exhibit was great.

The wine tasted so bad on the 8th floor. But the 2nd floor where the museum is, I had a great experience. They had a series of interactive experiences for touching, smelling, visuals. Audio guide was great.

So interesting! The displays are well done. I would add benches as standing so long was getting hard.
