Activity itinerary

Western Bay
  • 1h 30m
Our 3.5 Hr Adventurer tour departs from Kinloch, a short 20 minute bush walk drive from Taupo. Our skipper will take you to the southern end of the Western Bays to discover the plummeting rock faces, formations and ravines that are only accessible by boat.
Karangahape Cliffs
  • 10m
Standing tall, as if guarding the entry into the southern end of the Western Bays, the Karangahape cliffs have to be seen to be believed. The cliffs plummet into the inky depths of the lake below and stretch high up above us as the boat takes you right up to the cliff face.
Te Papa Bay
  • 1h 20m
Te Papa Bay is known for its pristine, crystal clear waters with an amazing sand bank just metres below the surface where the hidden Waikino falls spills out into the lake from the rock face at lake level. This is the perfect spot for swimming and paddle boarding. To the left of the bay is a set of flat rocks known by the locals as flat rock café. It’s the perfect place to set up a picnic and jump off the rocks.
Otupoto Falls
  • 10m
Nose up close to the base of these magnificent falls. If you are brave enough, join the other travellers on the nose of the boat to enjoy the cool refreshing water.
Waihora Bay
  • 10m
Discover the hidden Tutaewaeroa waterfall in a smack ravine in Waihora Bay. Enjoy the flora and fauna nestled in on the cliff face as the boat noses in.
Waihora Bay
  • 10m
Travel into an area of a Waihora Bay known as Kotukutuku landing. Disembark the boat to enjoy a short 10 minute bush walk up to the Kotukutuku Stream waterfall. There is a great spot here to take a photo with the waterfall as a backdrop.
