We arrived early and got to watch the crew set up. They were very organized and efficient, as it turned out we had a VERY large group for the 8 pm (hour and a half) tour. It was just me and my 14 year old daughter. We have kayaked a dozen times up and down the coast of Florida, but never done the night one in the clear kayak’s with the lights. It was a fun experience. Everyone who caught something in their net (provided) had it put in a small clear container so we all see everything at the end of the trip. I caught some shrimp. There was a conk, a puffer fish, hermet crabs, and even a red seahorse! We stayed in the little Bay Area and most were caught near a sand bar. No dolphins or manatees, but it was still fun. Thanks to all the crew who kept us safe and informed about the area and the wildlife.

We had a great time exploring the sandbar at night in the lighted kayaks. Great tour guides and a fun family event. Find huge conch shells, crabs, fish, hermit crabs, sea stars, and more.

There was a red tide warning for the area, and I have a child with severe asthma that I did not want to bring on the trip. and I tried to get our money back in the form of a refund, but they refused. It is a health and safety issue, and they tried to claim that it wasn’t. Viator was no help either.

Dress warmly if you are doing this in colder weather. The bottom of our kayak was pretty scratched up so it was difficult to see the bottom of the bay. The water was not very clear. The paddles didn’t have any water guards so we got very wet with each stroke of the paddle. Our guide was excellent, very knowledgeable, very good at keeping our group together and entertained.
