Day 1: FROM AREQUIPA: TRANSFER TO THE TOWN OF CHIVAY

Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve

8:00 am - Begin your day with a convenient pickup from your accommodation in the city of Arequipa. We will embark on a journey to the town of Chivay in the Colca Canyon. Along the route, we will stop at the natural reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca, where you can photograph llamas and alpacas in their natural habitat.

Abra Patapampa

we will reach the highest point of the route in Patapampa, at 4,900 metres (16,076 feet) above sea level, to observe the stunning Andean volcanic mountain range. We will then descend into the Colca Valley and enjoy a delightful lunch in the picturesque town of Chivay.

La Calera Thermal Waters

In the afternoon, relax and rejuvenate by visiting the hot springs of La Calera. This moment of tranquility will help us recover our strength to continue our adventure the following day.

Day 2: FROM CHIVAY: EXCURSION TO COLCA CANYON AND TRANSFER TO PUNO

Maca

6:30 am - We start the day early, departing from the town of Chivay to visit the Colca Canyon. On the way, we'll visit the beautiful Santa Ana Church in the town of Maca, renowned for its stunning gold leaf altars.

Mirador Antahuilque

Next, we'll continue to the Antahuilque viewpoint, where we can admire hundreds of agricultural terraces built by pre-Inca civilisations, adding a magical touch to the canyon.

Mirador Cruz del Condor

Finally, we'll reach the highlight of our visit: the Condor's Cross viewpoint, where we can observe these majestic birds soaring close to us in the Andean skies. After this remarkable experience, we'll return to Chivay to enjoy a delicious lunch before continuing our journey to the city of Puno.

Day 3: FROM PUNO: EXCURSION TO LAKE TITICACA

Uros Floating Islands

07:15 am - Begin your day with a convenient pickup from your accommodation in the city of Puno. Embark on an exciting adventure on Lake Titicaca, visiting the incredible floating islands of the Uros. Here, you will learn about this ancient civilisation and their unique way of life. Take a ride on a local boat made of reeds and immerse yourself in the experience.

Taquile Island

As we travel along the picturesque waters of Lake Titicaca, you'll have the opportunity to admire the stunning landscapes and feel the serene ambiance of the world's highest navigable lake. At arrival to Taquile Island, we will be warmly welcomed by the Taquileños, who have inherited customs and traditions from the Incas that are still practised today. Known for being expert weavers, their art has been recognised by UNESCO as oral and intangible heritage of humanity. After exploring the island, enjoy a delicious lunch before we take the scenic route back along the lake and return to the city of Puno.

Day 4: ROUTE OF THE SUN: Bus from Puno to Cusco

6:30 am - The day begins with an exciting journey from Puno to Cusco along the famous Route of the Sun. We do our first stop at the lithic museum of Pucara.

Day 7: FROM AGUAS CALIENTES: GUIDED VISIT TO MACHU PICCHU AND RETURN TO THE CITY OF CUSCO

Machu Picchu

Embark on an enchanting guided tour of Machu Picchu, where you'll discover the most significant monuments of this mysterious city, including: The Temple of the Three Windows, The Main Square, The Tower, The Sacred Rock, The Water Mirrors, among others. Immerse yourself in the rich history and awe-inspiring architecture of this ancient Incan citadel, as you explore its fascinating landmarks and uncover the secrets of its past. Following the visit, we will head back to the charming town of Aguas Calientes. Take this time to relax and reflect on the mesmerising experiences of the day, as you enjoy the tranquility and unique ambiance of this delightful town nestled in the Peruvian Andes.

Cusco

After our return, we will enjoy lunch (not included) before proceeding on our journey back to Cusco. We will first take a train from Aguas Calientes to the Ollantaytambo train station, and from there, we will transfer by bus to the city of Cusco. Upon our arrival in Cusco, we will be ready to escort you to your accommodation, ensuring a comfortable end to your day's adventures.

Day 8: FROM CUSCO: EXCURSION TO RAINBOW MOUNTAIN

Vinicunca Mountain

4:00 am - We begin the day with an early morning pickup from your accommodation and head towards the town of Cusipata, where we will have breakfast. Then, we continue our journey to the base camp at 4,900 metres above sea level. From this point, we start our 2-hour hike to Rainbow Mountain, enjoying breathtaking scenery along the way. Upon arrival at the mountain, we will marvel at this natural jewel with its vibrant colours, while our guide explains the origin of these impressive geological formations. We will also have some additional time to venture further and observe the incredible Red Valley, located next to Rainbow Mountain. After returning to our transport, we will head back to the town of Cusipata for lunch before returning to Cusco.
