Hop aboard a comfortable boat in Ushuaia and cast off for the challenging Beagle Channel, the icy waters south of the Strait of Magellan. Set sail from the tourist pier along the wide Ushuaia Bay, for sweeping views of the city of Ushuaia which is surrounded by the Andes Mountains.
Cruise around the Island of the Birds where you can spot Skúas, the Black-browed Albatross, Steam Ducks, Cauquenes, Cook Gulls, and Grey Gulls. Travel around the Sea Lions’ Island where two kinds of sea loins live. Both islands belong to the Bridges archipelago.
Arrive at the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse which is also know as “the Lighthouse of the End of the World.” Look for the colonies of Imperial Cormorants and penguin-like Rocky Cormorants while listening to the storey of how the SS Monte Cervantes sank in 1930.
At the end of the journey, take in parting views of the natural landscapes around the city of Ushuaia before returning to your starting point.
