We had a great time seeing Dubai for the first time and learning about its history. Highlight for me was the Burj Khalifa. We paid extra for a “skip the line” ticket to the 148th floor, which let us cut in front of hundreds of people entering and leaving the tower. Money well spent! The gold and spice souks were another highlight. We were lucky to have a very experienced guide leading us. Javed has been in Dubai for 26 years and is an encyclopedia of knowledge about the city and UAE! I highly recommend this tour for first timers to Dubai!

This tour, to our delightful surprise was a private tour. My son and I were given a tour by Misha. We couldn’t have been more fortunate. She was amazing. Very informative and was very attentive to try to customize the tour to include our wish lists. This way, we didn’t spend as much time at the places we didn’t want to so we could concentrate on the other areas. Things you cannot control: the Burj Khalifa queue was quite long the day we went, but she graciously extended our tour time to ensure that we were able to fit everything in. And YES. It was worth the wait. We were able to see so many things in one day around the city, while she gave us background information and interesting facts about Dubai. It was actually nice to ride the abra boat and cross the creek coming back in the dark. It was very pretty to see all of the lights in the area.
