Glass floats (floating balls), which used to be tied to fishing nets, float on the Otaru canal. Candles are lit in the floats and they float on the waves. The charming candlelight shines on the mirror-like water of the canal, and the snow-covered scenery creates the most beautiful and romantic scene in Otaru in winter.
