Fushimi-Inari Taisha Shrine is famous for its " Senbon Torii “. It attracts countless tourists from Japan and abroad every year and ranked Top1 in the survey of the world's largest travel website for three consecutive years as “the most popular tourist attraction for foreigner in Japan”. Let's pray for our dear family and ourselves here. In addition, the Ema of Fushimi-Inari Taisha Shrine is also unique with a shape of a white fox which can be doodled into various god expressions.

▼16:00 Nara park(about 1.5 hours, free time)
Nara Park is an urban park located at the foot of Mt. Wakakusa in Nara City where the famous places of interest such as Todaiji Temple and Kasuga Taisha Shrine are located here. It is a must-see when visiting Nara. Wakakusa which located near the park is a wonderful place to overlook the scenery of Nara, and traditional events such as “Wakakusa Burning Mount.” are held here every January. A leisurely stroll is the best way to visit the park. There is large herd of deer. Feeding the cute deer is also the biggest viewing point for tourists. The deer here are also very smart. If they see deer senbei in the hands of tourists, they will take the initiative to come, so be careful of the flocks of deer which may knock you down.

The tour is more of a drop on/off. You are dropped off and expected to navigate on your own. None of the sites are guided. If you want more time in these historical sites weigh the option of going at your own leisure. The perk of this trip is that, If you are in need of getting to Osaka from Kyoto, this option doubles as transportation. They allow you to keep your carry on and check in baggage in the bus. Or if you are coming from Osaka for a taste of Kyoto and Nara, this is a good option. The person managing the tour will message you through the WhatsApp to ensure pick up/drop off. Be mindful of the return time as they will leave you behind, rightfully so as the bus cannot be delayed for the sake of the rest of passengers.

You do not get to do all the things listed. It’s all crammed into a small time frame with no clear direction on what can be done

My dad and I had a wonderful time on this tour. Directions were very clear and our guide, Lu, was extremely communicative about our meeting points and activities going on. Lu was super helpful with answering questions and was incredibly patient. Would recommend.

Lu was wonderful! She was charming, friendly and went out of her way to be accommodating. The excursion itself was disappointing. We assumed that the tour was round-trip, but it was actually one way from Kyoto to Osaka. You had to open 3 or 4 links to discover that. Lu abligingly dropped us off at the train station in Nara so that we could return to Kyoto. The description said that we would have guided tours at each stop, but we were led to the destination and had to find our way back to the bus on a very tight schedule. We were very afraid of getting lost and missing the bus. We would not to this again. Lu saved us from getting back to Kyoto after 8 at night.

Had an amazing tour in Kyoto and Nara with Gary, an incredibly insightful and well-prepared guide! We explored beautiful temples, vibrant markets, serene gardens, and even fed the deer in Nara—all expertly guided with plenty of time to roam and take it all in. Gary is multilingual, extremely knowledgeable, organized, and impressively punctual, making the entire experience smooth and unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Fabulous tour, so many sites to see! Gary was a wonderful guide. My only advice is, this is a fast paced tour with very little time to shop for souvenirs after we left Kyoto. This is okay, as that was not the focus of my day. Lots of walking ☺️
