What you can expect

La Pedrera—also known as Casa Milà or “The Quarry House”—is one of the most intriguing landmarks in Barcelona and considered one of Gaudí’s greatest achievements. Bypass the line outside and enjoy as much time as you need while listening to engaging commentary from your handy audio guide.

Adorned with iron balconies, intriguing curves, and other unusual elements, the eye-catching façade of La Pedrera beckons you to learn more about Gaudí’s unique brand of architecture. Enter through the giant iron gate and look up to follow oil paints on plaster surfaces covering nearly every inch of the grand halls with flowers and mythological scenes.

As you stroll through the former residence of the Milà family, take some time to visit the Espai Gaudí, a small museum on the top floor that showcases Gaudí’s work through models and photographs of his buildings. On the rooftop, catch glimpses of the surrealistic chimneys known as “The Warriors” and take in sweeping views of Barcelona before you head back down the winding staircases, covered in exquisitely placed bits of colourful broken pottery.
