Activity itinerary

Take a stroll on our cultural Food Tour of Little Italy and Jonestown. Traverse through the areas where our first immigrants came to settle into Baltimore, now the areas of Little Italy and Jonestown. Take a walk with us through the area rich with history and authentic Italian cuisine and hear the stories that make this area so rich with culture. We will enjoy different Italian specialities that have been passed down from generation to generation, and see important gathering spots as well as centers for sports and religion. We will also visit Jonestown, once a predominately Jewish enclave, and still home to Baltimore's "Corn Beef Row," the Baltimore Jewish Museum, and numerous historic sights. Your food tour may include the following: Fresh house made pastas Knishes from the area's oldest running Jewish Deli Grilled fresh dough pizzas Traditional house made meatballs Tiramisu from the baker claiming to have invented the dessert All dishes served are included in the tour. Enough food is served that for most participants, dinner afterwards will not be needed. Seating and special service is provided at all restaurants throughout the tour. What Is Not Included? Service charge for your tour guide is not included, but appreciated! Meeting Location - Little Italy/Jonestown (Baltimore, MD)

We had a great time... The food was amazing and the history was informative, things we did not even know about our own backyard. Thanks Mary Margret....

Enjoyed our food tour with Mary Margaret! We had several food allergies and the restaurants were accommodating. We did this tour as a family, with our moms, married children, and teen son. Something for everyone!

Out of this world food! We were sooo full after this awesome food tour. We started with corned beef sandwiches, knishes, and coddies at Attman's, which was super delicious with their mustard. Next we had the most delicious fresh pasta... my 16-year old can't stop raving about it. Then there was yummy pizza and meatballs and tiramisu for dessert. I can't recommend this food tour enough to have amazing food and learn about Little Italy. Most of the people on the tour were from Baltimore, which shows you it's a great staycation outing!

Each spot on the tour is delicious food and easily worth it. You will be leaving feeling full for lunch AND dinner! (Although I will say, NY Style Pizza is still better hahaha. Sorry but I have to be annoying!) Mary Margaret is a lovely and wholesome person who is also very knowledgeable as she guides the tour. She also gives us advice about which streets to go through and which to avoid, and ideas of how to spend our time after the tour. She is easily one of the best tour guides I've ever met and has a clear passion for Baltimore. The tour may feel longer than many other food tours available, but the quality and time you really spend to learn the city and your tour group is worth it, and I say that as a solo traveler!

Although the weather was frigid, Mary Margaret made this a warm experience. The tour was great, and I love that we begin as strangers and end as friends after a food tour.

The places we stopped were very good! The best was Attman’s Deli! We want to return to this spot! Mary Margaret was very knowledgeable about Little Italy and its history! She was very passionate about the area! The time needed was over 4 1/2 hours-needed to be less stopping and talking to get to all food spots. Well worth the tour! Will do other tours as we travel!!

Mary Margaret our guide was terrific. We thought the educational parts of the tour were great and each food location was first rate. We’d recommend you eat very little before the tour to save room for all the great food!
