Overview

Rising 1270 metres above sea level, experience spectacular views over Hobart and Southern Tasmania. At the summit of kunanyi/Mt Wellington, you'll have 30 minutes to visit the observation shelter and take in panoramic views from the lookouts. If you're looking for a little more adventure, you have the option to hop-on and hop-off at five Wellington Park bus stops. Bus pass valid all day. On snow days, when the gates are closed to the public, this tour is operated by our partners at kunanyi/Mt Wellington Explorer Bus, the only bus approved to go beyond the closed gates on the mountain, to give you access to the snow.

Route vers le Mont Wellington sympa, un peu moins de 30min au sommet car départ retardé de 5min donc un peu déçu ( pour ça 4 étoiles et non 5)

Great commentary on the way up the mountain. Very friendly driver with a good sense of humour! Loved the fact we could hop on and hop off. We had a lovely lunch at the Ferntree Tavern on the way down.

Super good experience with this tour and we had an amazing bus driver - Tony who gave us a lot of information and history and guided us well showing us the best spots for pictures, to helping us click pictures and guiding us regarding hike. He also gave us some good recommendations which was amazing as well. Absolutely recommend this experience and if possible do the tour with Tony!

The weather was great so we had fabulous views. Although it wasn’t snowing there was some residual snow on the ground so my daughter was able to make a snowman.

Tony the bus driver was amazing and had a wealth of knowledge and made a journey up the side of a mountain feel much safer than a car. He spoke of most of Tasmanian tourist destinations and his dad jokes weren't too bad. Pick a lovely clear day to venture up there and make sure you rug up well.

Our guide was fantastic 10/10 he was informative and knowledgeable with a sprinkling of humour to make the trip a pleasant event. Mt Wellington is a beautiful spot to visit we had snow and wind which only added to the grandeur of the mountain experience.

The guide was excellent and even though the weather was not the best and we didn’t get the view from the top he made it a great tourof it a great tour.
