Overview

Travellers will experience first hand how tea is grown in Kenya. Tea is the largest export crop in Kenya. A visit to the tea farm will enable travellers to see the process of growing, picking and packaging of tea in Kenya. This tour is entirely private and that means travellers will not be joined into groups. Since the tour is only half day, travellers are allowed to customise the tour and include additional activities with the help of the guide.

  • The tour includes a barbecue lunch but we can offer options for people with dietary restrictions such as vegans and vegetarians. If you have dietary requirements please indicate them when booking.
  • The remaining hours will be allotted for the travel time from pick up until drop off.

Travellers will see the Nairobi national museum, a place where nature, culture, history and art meet.
Nairobi Region (Pass by)
The travellers will drive through the great city of Nairobi and will see how people live and conduct business within the city
Banana Hill Art Gallery (Pass by)
Travellers will get to see one of the biggest art galleries in Nairobi.
Two Rivers Mall (Pass by)
Travellers will get to see the two rivers mall which is the biggest shopping centre in East and Central Africa
Limuru
  • 3h
Limuru, Kenya, is one of the tea-growing areas in Kenya. This is where the Riara tea farm is located. Travellers will arrive at the farm and be welcomed by the farm manager, whereby they will be taken on a complete tea farm tour and also have lunch and a tea tasting ceremony. Travellers will also be presented with an opportunity to purchase tea (optional) before leaving the tea farm. 
Village Market (Pass by)
Travellers will see one of the oldest shopping centres in Nairobi, the village market in Gigiri.
