Adjacent to the transport hub of Sun Moon Lake District, it is the Shuishe commercial district where shops and restaurants gather, and events and performances are often held here
Xiangshan Visitor Center

There are audio play rooms, permanent exhibitions, etc., which not only provide a place to rest, but also allow travellers to have an in-depth understanding of local characteristic industries and agricultural specialities. Walking into the beautiful Qingshui model building of Xiangshan Visitor Centre, there are good places to take pictures everywhere. **You can choose to rent a bicycle at your own expense
Syuentzang Temple

We will take a boat to Xuanzang Temple. The temple was built in 1965. The temple is divided into two floors, one is dedicated to the remains of Chinese Buddhist monk - Syuentzang, and the other is dedicated to the golden Buddha.
Ita Thao Visitor Center

We will take a boat to Ita Thao Pier. Ita Thao is the main residence of Taiwan's aboriginal Thao people, and it is the most populous village near Sun Moon Lake. In the market beside the pier, there are Thao-style meals, aboriginal craft shops, traditional clothing experience, souvenir shops.

Easy meeting point, and a great way to see a bit more of Taiwan when on a flying visit. The coach ride was easy with comfort stops. The boat was nice and everyone had a view. Our guide JD was very knowledgeable and made sure everyone had a good day. The lake itself is very pretty, and it was interesting to see how the indigenous community still use traditional techniques for things like fishing and environmental management.

I would like to thank Joanna for a wonderful first experience in Taiwan. Sun Moon lake was a great way to see the country side of Taiwan. Bonus was a Tea Festival on location during the visit.

We wanted to see the countryside and chose this group tour to Sun Moon Lake area. Long ways to go, but fortunately the tour bus was a large comfy one and the rest stops were amazing. (My home country of the US could learn how to improve ours! Lol.) The lake itself was beautiful with a more relaxed vibe. We tried indigenous food and unfortunately the chicken was more like quail size - the smallest chicken leg ever! The President’s fish, a carp, was full of bones - we do not recommend. But learned, and still enjoyed the day.

There were only 4 of us on the tour which was good. Our guide Jerry was very friendly and knowledgeable and an excellent driver. I would recommend this tour to others.
