Tres Picos State Park (Three Peaks) is one of the largest in the State of Rio de Janeiro (around 2:30 hours drive - 145 km / 90 miles from Rio's capital).
Located in one of the most expressive fragments of the Atlantic Forest, in the centre of the state, it has priceless scenic beauty, with springs and rivers, several waterfalls, hills, mountain peaks, great biodiversity of flora and fauna and diversified geological formations.

The Towers are located in the district called Bonsucesso, which is between the cities of Teresópolis and Friburgo. Majestic mountain in the same name area, remind the rock formations of the impressive region of Patagonia. Bonsucesso Towers form a huge vertical rock wall with more than 500 metres long.
The trail is quite steep, with more than 800 metres climb to reach the tallest peak.
Definitely it is one of the most amazing trails in the State of Rio de Janeiro!
